The Promise trilogy is three upcoming comics building the bridge between A:TLA and TLoK. It's mostly about Firelord Zuko and awatara Aang's struggle for peace while dealing with the remaining apoy Nation colonies. The plot of the story is very interesting sa pamamagitan ng itself, but let's talk about SHIPPING. The writer of the story, Gene Yang has sinabi all of the relationships are 'up in the air' including Maiko. Well obviously Kataang lived through because of Tenzin in the LoK. So now it's between Maiko and Sukka. Don't worry my fellow Maikoians, I have no doubt that Maiko will make it in The Promise and their WILL be a Maimonides spawn in Korra. Zuko loves Mai dearly and Mai expresses her pag-ibig to Zuko perfectly. Maiko will survive!!

Maiko from the very beginning was always a very true pag-ibig story. Here we have two childhood sweethearts since from the very beginning had strong feelings for each other. However, both were seperated sa pamamagitan ng the war resulting in Zuko's banishment and Mai's ilipat to Omashu. Hope however managed to bring the two back together and rekindle Nawawala love. There was then, when Zuko had to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect Mai and the Firenation from the evils of his father and his sister. Mai countered his sacrifice with her own to protect him from certain death at the Boiling Rock sa pamamagitan ng the hands of Azula. After the evil Ozai and Azula are defeated, Mai and Zuko are reunited at last and can finally share their beuatiful pag-ibig for each other. Maiko Forever:)
