Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Will Michael Muhney Replace James Scott on DOOL – Fake Death Means EJ DiMera Recast?

Days of Our Lives spoilers have been teasing EJ DiMera’s death for months now, but now that it has finally arrived, DOOL fans are scratching their heads and wondering if the character is really dead. EJ DiMera was shot and killed in Salem Park and “died” in his wife Sami Brady’s arms before he was taken to the morgue. However, according to DOOL spoilers, the character might not be dead after all.

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers from Monday, October 13th, Stefano called EJ DiMera’s sister Kristen and ordered her to go to the morgue and inject something into his arm with a needle. On Tuesday, October 14th news of EJ’s death spread around Salem and his friends and family mourned his loss, except for his father Stefano. Stefano called Kristen and thanked her for making the trip to the morgue, and revealed that he has EJ’s body and the ashes Sami is set to receive in an urn are actually fake and not EJ’s.

James Scott announced earlier this year that he was leaving the NBC soap opera, so for the time being, EJ DiMera will most likely remain dead. But it looks like the DOOL writers are setting up a mysterious death so that at a future date they will be able to write the character of EJ DiMera back into the script if they decide to do so.

If EJ DiMera does make a come-back somewhere down the road, TPTB at Days of Our Lives will have to recast the character and find a new actor to play the part. Rumors are already emerging on the internet that The Young and the Restless alum Michael Muhney is a contender for the upcoming role. After a long drawn-out scandal, Y&R officially shot down any chances of Muhney returning as Adam Newman and recast the roll with Justin Hartley. Since Muhney left Y&R, he has been dabbling in a few made-for-tv movies, but would most likely jump at the opportunity to return to the soap world.

So, Days fans, do you think EJ Dimera is dead or alive? Are the writers just leaving his murder open-ended in case they recast the character? Why would Michael Muhney consider going back to a soap opera when he’s been very active in movies? His first movie that we’ll see is a Christmas movie for TV, but the other three films’ distribution haven’t been announced yet. He’s obviously very much in demand, so this is pure speculation by the writer.

Don’t know MM, but think both EJ and Sami are integral to Salem. If Alison and James chose to leave, I think they should be replaced.

Hell NO!! James Scott IS EJ, just as Alison Sweeney IS Sami! They have a chemistry woven into the characters that cant be replicated! Just let the characters be retired and off she show (in Carrie/Austin fashion) instead.

This would be a weird idea. Michael Muhney replacing James Scott will be a bad idea. The writers keeps doing this. The writers likes to kill there characters then bring them back from the dead. What the writers should do is create new storylines for this show. This show would last till in the spring just like the bold and the beautiful. The writers just need to get rid of there deadweight people who has been destroying other characters. Theresa, Anne, Bev needs to go. There storylines is just a waste of time. Theresa might be pregnant with Brady baby. That would be a huge storyline. The writers don’t know what they want with there storylines. The writers likes EJ Dimera character so they think recasting him would help the show. It might help a little bit but EJ Dimera got shot in the woods. Isn’t that enough already.

Look what they did to Stefano. EJ shot Stefano and the writers brought him back to the show. That is how this show works. They like killing off people and bringing them back from the dead. That is a waste of time. New characters and new storylines needs to develop very soon. Rafe used to be a good FBI agent and I haven’t seen take action of what he does. Hope should date someone else other then Aiden. Kristen has a good side now which it is ok. Nicole is trying to get Eric back because she wants to make up for what she did. Yeah right. Nicole destroyed Eric evidence after Daniel gave it to her in the woods. Eric deserves so much better. Eric hates her guts and he doesn’t want to be with her. The writers should stop making Nicole to be so needy and desperate. Eric can date someone new if the writers find someone for him. If the writers cares about there characters at all then stop making them play these dumb parts. John waking up is a good thing. He remembers of who hit him in the head and that person is Theresa. Brady should use his brain and dump Theresa for someone new. The writers needs to bring a woman for Eric and Brady.

They can never replace James Scott,don’t even try.If they do it will ruin the old show.NO ONE can ever replace JAMES SCOTT,HE WAS THE BEST.THEY SHOULD HAVE PAID HIM MORE TO STAY WITHTHE SHOW.

No!!! James Scott is EJ DiMera. If they are thinking about bring him back, they should wait until James Scott wants to return. If not, leave it be. To me, Sami Brady DiMera & EJ DiMera make days what it is!! It will not be the same without either of them & it wouldnt be the same with new characters.

EJ is dead and gone forever, so, no, nobody can replace Mr. Scott. He’d embodied that role more than TPTB of “Days Of Our Lives” can ever conceive.:)

I live James Scott and Michael Muhney. They both are great actors and very talented. I will miss them both and hope I do see them on screen soon.
