Why do people dislike country music?

I really don't know. I personally like it. I think it's one of the best genres when it comes to telling stories. The lyrics are really deep (I mean listen to Carrie Underwood's Blown Away) and profound. There are a lot of relatableable lyrics. It talks about life and growing up but also about pag-ibig and having a good time. Sure farms and such are thrown in there but it's not all 'lol country livin'. Plus it's a really nostalgic in a way it's a style that just seems to highlight summer fun for me.

I guess maybe the twain or the accent annoys people. Or madami likely it's just the fact that it's not their cup of tea. It's like disliking the color orange--ya just don't like it.

I don't like it, but I don't think people shouldn't have the right to listen. I don't use why people don't like electronic dance music. People say it is not "real music," which burns me up. If you like the music, I don't see no reason why not. GO FOR IT!

Here's why!

Country music is not my thing. I can tolerate some country, though. The reason people who never listened to it say that they sing about farms is that well, they've never listened to it. Because they don't know it, they judge it. People tend to judge what they don't know.
