It was a quiet morning in the small town of ponyville with every one waking up as the little birds chirped their greetings to the new risen sun, the roosters' uwak sounded off waking up those who lived near the farms while in middle of the town and the blaring of mechanical alarm clocks could be heard. Many of the ponies and other creatures paid no heed to the birds or male chickens, their only focus was on how to treat the new day. Some no matter what would have a sunny disposition, while others would have the preverbal rain ulap over them, but a loud crash shattered the early morning peace. From a small aklatan just outside of town the residents of the tahanan happen to be a purple parang buriko with a kulay-rosas and kulay-lila strip in her mane, Twilight Sparkle cried out as all of the books on the shelf fell to the floor with her little dragon friend, Spike, watching her in amusement. Twilight in hysterics looking over the books searching for a specific one, turning to Spike, tears in her eyes she cried out "Why can't I find it Spike?"
"I don't know Twilight. What are you looking for anyway?" he asked trying to hide his amusement with a bored expression.
Twilight turned back to the books frantically flipping them over "I'm looking for a special book with a spell that will protect all of Equestria!" she shouted at the tuktok of her lungs.
Spike covered his ears as she yelled. Being a Dragon has its draw backs. He moaned in his head throbbing from her screeching.
"Aha, I found it! The book of protection!" She yelled out in excitement and turned to Spike. "This book will give me the spell to protect all of Equesria."
"Why do you have to protect all of Equestria?" Spike asked pulling his clawed hands away from his ears checking them for blood, he would swear that her high pitched voice caused his ears to bleed. Turning to her giving her a expression of annoyance and curiosity.
"Princess Celestia wants me to see if I can put up a force field to protect Equestria, but its going to take a lot of time and concentration to execute it" she lowered her head thinking about what the princess asked of her "and I won't be able to..." she cut off, unable to continue.
When Twilight first came to Ponyville she was told she just didn't have to study hard and keep her muzzle in a book, but she had to go out and make some friends. She was being tested sa pamamagitan ng the Princess, and she did not want to fail her. But when the Princess gave her this test she didn't know what to do, so she ran to her house as quickly as she could and started running through all her books looking for the right one.
"That's great!" Spike grumbled "Now what?"
"We have to find a major protection spell." Twilight sinabi with a hint of amusement in her voice, ignoring his ire.
Twilight opened the book with a struggle, but when Spike pitched in and helped get the book open, the book was opened easier. "This book is heavier than it looks!" Spike sinabi after the book had been opened.
"Well, that's a magical book for you. These are very heavy if you carry them sa pamamagitan ng hoof." Twilight sinabi with the slightest amusement in her voice.
When Twilight had stuffed her muzzle in the book, Spike walked out of the door to go see Pinkie Pie. I wonder if Pinkie is doing anything fun today. As Spike thought to himself, he heard a palumpong rustle and a tiny bunny came out of its hiding place. It then scurried off into the distance. When Spike arrived at Pinkie Pie's house he knocked on the door. He heard a banging noise coming from inside the house. What was that? Spike asked himself. Just then the door flung open to reveal Pinkie Pie with her curled mane and tail. She had spots of white on her back and muzzle, and her cutie mark of three balloons had been covered in flour. Spike wondered what had happened to her but had not asked her about it. Spike then realized Pinkie seemed to read minds, so she was able to pull every thing out of just about anyone.
"What happened to you Pinkie?" Spike asked her with a confused look on his face "I heard a bang and you stumbled out looking like this."
"Well, I was trying to bake some cupcakes but it didn't work out so well, I got out the flour to bake them and it dropped and spread everywhere! Look, it even got on my cutie mark!" She sinabi with a huff to catch her breath.
Wow, I can't believe that one bag of flour could make such a mess! He thought with a low sigh. He had seen big messes in Pinkie's house but nothing like this. There were pots and pans strung out on the floor. An empty bag of flour lay on the floor with flour covering it. Spike couldn't believe what he saw. He turned back to Pinkie Pie and she was staring at him as if she was Nawawala in his eyes. It felt weird for her to do this at such an unexpected moment. Why is she doing that? This is getting weird. Spike sinabi to himself. He looked up and saw that there was a bird chirping as if it were trying to tell him something. He ignored the bird and turned back to Pinkie who had gone into the house. He followed her in and sat down at the table. He stared at what Pinkie was doing and saw that she had a broom, sweeping the floor. She did this really fast, so fast Spike couldn't keep up with her. When she had finished, the floor was sparkling.
"Nice job Pinkie. The floor looks great!" Spike sinabi with a smile.
"Thanks Spike. I do this a lot, but it is really hard to do that fast. But since I've been practicing, it's been a lot easier." She sinabi with a sigh.
Just at that moment there was a ding from the hurno and Pinkie padded over to it to reveal seven cupcakes. They were all decorated with everyone's cutie mark. Except one that had Spike's name on it. His mouth watered at the sight and thought of cupcakes.
"They look delicious don't they?" Pinkie sinabi with a laugh.
"Yes, they do look delicious. I could eat them all right now!" Spike sinabi with a large smile and watering mouth. Spike hadn't eaten all day, except for a small carrot. He just wanted to eat the cupcakes right now.
"No. You can't eat them all, you have to wait until the picnic tomarrow!" She sinabi with very clear excitement. "I can't wait until then!"
Spike sighed and walked out out of Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie lived. Just then he remembered that Fluttershy invited him over for lunch. He started toward Fluttershy's house and his stomach growled. He stopped to get something to eat a little bit and set off again. He padded up to Fluttershy's house and knocked on the door. A few moments later the door opened and out came Fluttershy.
"Hi Fluttershy. I came over for lunch. I mean, if you aren't doing anything else today." Spike sinabi with obvious worry in his voice.
"Oh, no I'm not doing anything else today. Please come in." She whispered. Fluttershy walked in and Spike followed her in. Angel Bunny was still in his kama sleeping soundlessly. He turned back to see Fluttershy had gone ahead and was starting to get everything for the lunch. She carried them over to the mesa and set them down. There were cucumbers and sandwiches that had turkey, mozzarella cheese, and one of them had mayonnaise on it and the other had ketchup and mustered.
"They look good Fluttershy. Which one is for me?" Spike asked with smile. His stomach growled at the sight of the sandwiches.
"I know you like ketchup on your sandwich, so here is yours." She pushed the one with Spike's paborito ingredients on it. He thanked her and started to eat. He wanted to lunok the whole thing, but he forced himself to eat in very calm bites. As he ate, he asked Fluttershy if she could pass the carrots. She very politely pushed the carrots over to Spike and he took a few of them. This silence is getting weird. Spike sinabi to himself.
"Hey Fluttershy, are you doing anything tomorrow?" Spike asked as he swallowed madami of his sandwich.
"I'm not going to be busy all that much. I just have to go and help the critters with building their homes for the winter to come." She whispered so low that Spike strained to hear what she had said. When Spike had finished his lunch he wished farewell to Fluttershy. Spike didn't realize that he was walking strait into Cherrilee while walking down the stone path. He looked up and saw that he was about to crash into her. Spike quickly side stepped and she walked past, humming a rather cheery tune. He walked the rest of the way to his house. He opened the door, everypony was there except Fluttershy.
"....So that's why you are all here. There you are Spike! Where have you been?" Twilight sinabi as she finished talking to Applejack, bahaghari Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity.
"I was just at Fluttershy's house, she asked if I could come over for lunch yesterday." Spike sinabi with a confused voice. "What's going on here, and why is everyone here?"
When Spike had finished speaking, there was an awkward silence in the room. Just as a minuto had passed, Fluttershy clopped her way into the tree-like house. Ever since Spike had gotten here, he fell in pag-ibig with Rarity. When he got over Rarity, he felt a part of him closing in toward Fluttershy. Just then, he realized that every time he was near Fluttershy, he would start blushing and so would she.
"Spike! Are you okay? You kind of dozed off there. What happened?" Twilight asked with a lot of worry in her voice.
"I'm okay, just thinking of how good this book is going to be." He held up the book to ipakita the ponies surrounding him. The cover had a picture of a Pegasus, being chased sa pamamagitan ng something invisible. The name of the book was The Invisible Monster. Though the book looked scary, it probably wouldn't scare Spike. Then again, Spike was scared of a lot of things. When everyone was done looking, Spike went upstairs to put the book up.
"Spike, when your done could you come back down here please?" Twilight asked with a serious voice. She sounded as if something bad was going to happen.
"Sure. Why not?" Spike told Twilight in a very unenthusiastic tone. He didn't want to do much of anything right at the moment.Twilight sighed and padded to go get something. Spike put the book up and started down the stairs. When he reached the bottom, he saw that Twilight was handing out the Elements of Harmony. Why is she handing those out to everyone?
