Oh My Girl\'s Hyojung reveals the sad reason she had to work multiple part-time jobs

Hyojung was questioned about her wide range of part-time job experiences in the past. She has such an extensive amount of experiences that she has even earned the nickname \'part-time idol\'! 

Yoo Jae Suk asked Hyojung on the March 31 airing of \'Happy Together,\' "We heard that you\'re called the \'part-time idol.\' Do you really have a lot of experience?" 

Hyojung replied, "I took care of children at a daycare center, handed out flyers, and even served as a waitress at a galbi joint."

Park Myung Soo probed, "Was it because your family wasn\'t well-off?" Hyojung spilled, "Rather than that, my Dad passed away early. My mom seemed like she was having a hard time all by herself so I started working part-time jobs." 

Hyojung continued, "I originally wanted to dig for ginseng. Ever since elementary school, I would go around and dig up vegetables with my grandmother." 

She is such a HARD WORKING POSITIVE LEADER. How can no one fall for her. Even her smile is so cheering. He voice is so great and her skills in singing as well as dancing is so damn good. Plus she is so cute. Love her so much.

She is growing on me fast in this comeback and now after reading this I\'ve found new respect for her. She is now my No 1 co-bias in the group with Jiho. Love these girls.

She also said in their showcase (Vapp) that she worked hard so she can train to be a singer. Aaaaw Hyojung Fighting!! 💖💖

Wow I\'m actually not surprised that she used to work with children because she always gave me a strong motherly or kindergarten teacher vibe xD Somehow it\'s in the way that she talks and her personality.

So proud of her. She\'s come a long way.

"Was it because your family wasn\'t well off?" Sometimes hosts can really be too intrusive about the private lives of people.

I guess idols expect these kinds of questions but it was a little blunt, maybe?

okay ill explain it for you guys. these mcs don\'t come up with these questions themselves. some are on the spot but even those branch off of the answers they get from the scripted questions. so in this case they asked her about her being known for having lots of part time jobs. she knew of this question being asked beforehand and they\'re just going with what\'s on the script. they\'re moving the conversation along and they would\'ve worded it differently if they knew she was well off. the staff knew what her answers would be because for this show esp the writers call and converse with guests beforehand for a while thinking up questions and hearing their answers. They need stuff to talk about so they talk about her personal life and more

I know that. But it still highlights the fact that these mcs/shows get a little too personal. One of the reasons why the question bugs me is probably the way it\'s worded. Instead of asking "Is it because your family wasn\'t well-off", it would have been better had it been something along the lines of "Was it because you needed the money." Why is that better? Because it doesn\'t frame the personal lives of the idol\'s family as much, regardless of whether the answer references them in some shape or form.
