Bauer’s digital station The Hits Radio is being taken over sa pamamagitan ng X Factor boyband One Direction this coming bank holiday weekend.
Each of the five members of the group will present their own hour-long slot on the station and the band will also be interviewed sa pamamagitan ng Hits presenter Chris Younie.
Louis, Liam, Niall, Zayn and Harry shot to fame after finishing third on last year’s X Factor and have signed a £2m record deal with Simon Cowell.
Chris Rick, The Hits Radio’s Programme Controller, told RadioToday.co.uk: “Securing this opportunity with One Direction is another way of demonstrating our commitment to bringing fresh content to our listeners. Our audience pag-ibig the band – so we’re sure they’re going to pag-ibig hearing the band take over!”
Harry Styles from the group said: “We can’t wait to take over The Hits Radio for the whole weekend – what could be madami fun than playing our favourite songs all weekend long, and letting our fans get to know a bit madami about us!”
Zayn Malik added: “We’ve been doing loads of interviews recently, and so it’s great to get the chance to actually be in the hot upuan and in control of the station! It’s gonna be massive!”
The shows will be broadcast on Saturday at 12pm and 3pm, Sunday at 12pm and 3pm and Monday at 1pm
