I think it is just stupid to hate a character for something they did in season 1. Now i am not saying people who do this stupid i just think that is the past and they should not be still being hated for that.

Yeh sure why not. But i don't think it's fair to say something like "Brooke is amazing blah blah blah all that stuff she did was AGES ago! But Peyton is such a bitch i mean how could she do that to Brooke - sure it was along time ago but that doesn't matter!"

But i know what you mean, i personally think what happened like 6 years ago shouldn't really count against the character now but hey....some people just hold on to things for longer than others!

i dont like in season one i didnt like peyton and now i totally love her i think that some people should jus get over things but if thats the reason some people dont like that character then fair enough its a reason

I think it depends. I think everyone should forgive Peyton because Brooke has. but like Dan prabably no because he killed someone. Peyton hasn't killed anyone all she did was steal luke away from Brooke, and personaly I am totally fine with that.

past seasons are just that... PAST SEASONS... they have nothing to do with now, considering the past high school seasons were like over SIX years ago in the show. we all make mistakes in our lives, that's no reason to hate someone forever because you don't agree with something they did a long time ago. we all have our past, but would YOU want someone to judge you based on something that you did a LONG time ago? no. all the Brucas fans always bring up the fact that Brooke is a different person now, and her "slutty" attitude and stuff was from a long time ago... well that goes both ways. Peyton's mistakes towards Brooke that Brucas fans complain about were from a long time ago too. Her and Brooke are stronger than ever now, so it's time for everyone to move on!

there's this funny thing called "forgiveness". Baggage isn't worth carrying. All 5 characters are good people who have screwed up royally one time or another throughout the series.

But I do. I'm being vocal. It's not like I hate Peyton since the show started. I actually learned to like her again in s5 just like how some began to like Brooke in that season but when I think of her mistakes I just can't help but hate her again. It is unfair, yes. Because as Abs said, there is such a thing as forgiveness. But I am only human so don't give me the God can forgive argument, and as much as this is only a show I get really affected by it. Since cheating is my number one enemy, I just couldn't let go. Don't get me wrong, I hate Lucas too, for so many reasons and it's such a shame I would like him to be with Brooke but that's just how it is. I love Brucas but def I'm on Team Brooke too.

And how can some people just remember Peyton and Lucas cheating behind Brooke's back? They also did it while Lucas was with Lindsey, duh. And so it should be easier for some to let go if it was not a repeated mistake. It just shows the bad side of Peyton.

i never hated peyton for what she did to brooke cause i LOVE leyton. but i didnt like luke in season 5 the fact he obviously love peyton hides with lindsay cheats with peyton again propses to lindsay writes a book about peyton trys to marry lindsay then denies it all and says he loves lindsay and tells peyton "its just a dream right" then propses to her straight away on the phone. but now i love him again because i love leyton. sorry for the rant. i usually dont add a new option but i didnt really agree with the others. i think the present is more important and it really depends on if they learnt from the mistake or if they keep repeating it or if recent stuff brings up the past mistake, if you know what i mean, because the past is the past.
i personally dont get how people can hate brooke for her past mistakes considering how much shes grown and how shes practically a new person, and though i dont hate peyton for what shes done in the past i guess i understand why others do, so with them im like no, dont hate them because of the past... but then theres dan, and he killed a person, there are some mistakes that i dont know if you should stop hating a person for, i mean lily will NEVER have her father, never get to talk to him or touch him, that will last for ever, so why shouldnt the hate for the act last forever when its ramifications are a forever thing. and as much as he could do to be a better person, to be a good guy i dont think it could possibly balance out the fact he took keith.

Aslong as they redeem themselves then it's fine. So far, everyone for me is on a clean slate cause there's been apology's, redemptions etc all around.

Ex LUCAS and PEYTON!! You can give me the they have grown shit all day long but I know they haven't they pulled the same shit in S5 that they did in S1 just this time it was Luke who put a stop to it! So sure if they do bad things then HELL YES I'm gonna hold it against them! I still have a small piece that resents Haley for leavin and a small piece that resents Nate for not telling Hales about Carrie! that's just how I am. I can hold a grudge for a DAMN long time!! Especially if I never liked them to start with!

i hated peyton in season 1, but since season 2 she's been my second favorite character because there was a change in her. but there are other characters where though they may be older now, they've either grown into a character i don't care for much like haley, or they are still too similiar to what they were in high school, like brooke, and brooke i've just never liked. sure she's much better in seasons 5 and 6 than she was in high school but i still don't like her.

I am angry at the character in the moment I see her actions BUT I don't keep resenting her for the rest of my life. Example: I hate Brooke when she made fun of Peyton's mum death, when Haley left for the tour or when Lucas was an ass to Peyton in S5. But I don't hate them all the time. Everytime I watch those particular scene I get angry but everyone makes mistake and I learn to live with it. I hated Brooke Davis for her actions in S1-S4 but I love her in S5 & S6. It depends mostly on the characters decision, but I can change my mind.
