Why not? It'd be really cute...plus, there are probably going to be 20 episodes (or more) again, a complete season. That tiny "storyline" would take only one episode, so it wouldn't hurt.
Besides...there are never enough characters on OTH ; )

EDIT: Well, yeah...I also want season 8 to mainly focus on the core 3 but Quinn meeting Clay's parents doesn't sound like a big storyline ^^ I mean Quinn and Clay are still a part of OTH, believe it or not ( =
