When one first begins to look into Wicca, Paganism, or the Craft, one sees that a major part of its history is being shunned in society.
It's not only kristyanismo that holds an misunderstood animosity toward our kind, either (though they are the most vocal about it).
Our kind is jeered because for some reason people think we encourage orgies, drink blood, preform human sacrifice, and whorship the devil.
I myself have felt the sting of regection simply because of these ideas, and I know many others have too.
However, this artikulo is not meant to encourage violence toward those who brushed us off. I write this to say that fighting these people is the worst thing to do.
If people wish to be ignorant, let them. Too many wars and riots have been done in the name of religion; we need not increase the number.
That's what makes Wicca so much more. We fallow the Rede, and the Rede states that we are to "harm none". Fighting for our faith rather that staying true to it harms our opposers and ourselves.
Look to your opposer as a teacher and practice your work in silence and privacy.
