Months had passed, and Erin was getting ready to start high school. She was a bit nervous, considering she was among the youngest in her grade. Her brother, Daniel, said, "You don't have to be scared. I'll be there." She said, "Thanks, Daniel. My mga kaibigan will be there, too. It's good that I'll be seeing familiar faces." He said, "There you go. You won't be alone." Her first araw wasn't so great. In her first class, one of her classmates put a kick me sign on her back. Luckily, when she left, her friend, Paul, noticed it and took it off. She asked, "What's going on, Paul?" He said, "This." He showed her the kick me sign. She said, "Thanks, Paul." He said, "You're welcome, Erin." Later, some of the popular girls kept calling her ugly. She tried to ignore them, but she was deeply sensitive. She pretended she needed to use the restroom so that she could be alone to cry. A few moments later, she heard her friend Allie say, "Erin, you've been in here a long time. Are you okay?" Erin said, "I'm fine." Allie said, "You're crying. I know you're not. Come out and tell me what's wrong." Erin came out and said, "I'm having a bad day. High school sucks already." Allie hugged her and said, "The day's not over yet. Maybe it will turn good." Erin smiled and said, "I guess you're right." Allie said, "There's a smile. Now let's get back out there." Unfortunately, Erin's araw did not turn good. At the end of the day, Erin tripped over her own feet and fell down. Everyone around her laughed. One of the popular girls said, "Oh, my God! Did you just fall?" Erin sinabi sarcastically, "No, I thought the floor needed a hug!" Another one of the popular girls said, "She's like the mayor of Klutzville. She like literally tripped over nothing." The popular girls continued to laugh. Another one said, "That was funny. Did you think it was funny, Erin?" Erin sinabi sarcastically, "That was so funny I forgot to laugh." They left her lying on the floor alone. She began to cry. She then heard someone shouting. "Erin! Erin!" It was Paul. She looked up. He asked, "Are you all right? What happened?" She said, "I tripped over my own feet, and I fell down. The popular girls made fun of me." He said, "That's just absurd! Even if they aren't your friends, they should still ask if you're okay just out of human kindness!" He helped her up. She said, "Thanks." He said, "You're welcome. Are you okay now?" She said, "Yeah, I think so." When she got home, she told her aunt and uncle about her day. Her aunt said, "I'm sorry you had a bad day, Erin. Don't get discouraged, though. The segundo araw is never as bad as the first." Erin went back the susunod day. Her aunt was right. The segundo araw was a good day. Erin knew she would make it through with a little help from her friends. At the end of the day, she walked out with her mga kaibigan pag-awit the Beatles song, "With a Little Help From My Friends". The popular girls made fun of them, but they didn't care. They had each other. Who needs popular girls anyway? They're nothing but a bunch of preppy bitches.
After Everett received his discharge papers and his crutches, Una asked him, "Are you hungry?" He said, "Yes, very." She said, "Okay. We'll get something to eat, then I'll take you home." After they ate hapunan at a burger joint, they went back to Everett's apartment. Una decided to stay with Everett so that she could help him with whatever he needed. Mrs. Stratton approved of Una's decision. Everett's knee healed in a few days. After that, he and Una decided that they would start planning their wedding. It is a araw that they are both looking pasulong to.

Una, Everett, and Kaitlyn had hapunan at a nice restaurant. As they ate, Una asked, "So, Kaitlyn, what are you majoring in?" Kaitlyn replied, "Well, I'm a biology major. I'm hoping to be a veterinarian." Una said, "You're an animal lover. That's great!" Kaitlyn said, "Yes, I've always been an animal lover. How about you?" Una replied, "Well, I always wanted a dog, but my mother is highly allergic. With that being said, I'm so busy with acting, I'm not sure I'd have time for one now." Kaitlyn said, "That's true. Aso do require a lot of attention. I'm hoping to get one after I finish with veterinary school and get madami settled." Everett smiled as he listened to Una and Kaitlyn's conversation. He was happy to see that they were getting along so well. He thought, This is wonderful. I think it'll work if Una and I decide to get married.

"What do you mean?" Una once again prepared to listen. Everett replied, "While my immediate family was supportive of my dream to go into film editing, not everyone was kind. Lots of people told me that I couldn't do it: most of my schoolmates, some teachers, even my extended family." She said, "How awful!" He said, "I know, but I didn't let that keep me down. My father even told me that I should go for it, no matter what anyone says. I looked at different film schools, and I got accepted into one that is fairly close to where I grew up. Upon graduating, I started preparing to go to film school. I started that fall, and I got a job at the local kainan to help my parents cover the apartment rent." Una added, "And that's where we met." Everett smiled. "Yes, Una. My life only got brighter from there." She said, "Aw! I say the same to you, Everett." With that, they kissed.
