no... I have no affiliation with them except that I'm a member. It's just a place where you can earn points to get stuff from amazon. If you're not into that, check out goodreads, I enter their giveaways all the time, so far have won 22 books!

Okay... The strangest thing is that when i signed up for the website, I got a welcome message from "trixieKitten" that reads:

Subject: Welcome to Points2Shop!

Hello and Welcome to Points2shop.com!

Thank you for joining the Points2Shop Community!

How do I get started?
You are now ready to start begin your journey to your first gift! To start earning your points, go to ' Main Offer List '.

Once you have started to complete offers, you will start to gain points. These points can be used for purchasing items off of the amazon.com or amazon.co.uk website. The more offers you do, the more points you earn. The more points you earn, the more prizes you can receive in the mail.

Are there other ways to earn points?
If you don't feel like doing a lot of offers, or if you don't see an offer that you would like to complete, you can instead refer members using your referral code. You can find your referral code by by going to ' Refer new users '. Copy/paste the link from that page, and send it to your friends, or advertise on websites that allow that type of advertising. You can earn up to 15% of what your referrals make + a cashbonus that can be as much as $1 per referred user! The more people you refer, the more you can make. Just make sure that they have used your signup link when signing up to the website. You can check all of your referral stats by logging in and going to ' Your Referral Stats '.

Besides completing offers and referring others, you can games play games and earn points in competition with other players.

We also have a weekly lottery ! Lottery drawings are held on Wednesdays. To receive tickets you play the Spin2Win games that poppes up when you claim an offer.

Finally, we also have a contest area where we put fun contests for members to participate in for even more chances at great points.

How can I order?
If you would like to place an order, you can do so by going to ' Find a Prize '. This will take you to a page where you can search for the items you want to purchase. Once you find an item you like you can click 'Add to cart' and then 'Pay Items With Balance'. This will send us a message so that we can process the order for you and you will receive your item shortly after.

Can I get cash instead of points?
Yes you can! All you have to do is go to our sister site cashle.com . You don't have to register there, just use your Points2Shop login information! You can do the same thing as on Points2Shop, but you will earn cash instead of points. Cash that can easily be withdrawed to paypal or by check.

What if I need more help?
If you ever come across a problem and you need help to solve it, you can try our discussion forums , or checking out the shoutbox on the left side of this page for extra help. The Wiki is another good starting point! If those three area's do not offer the help that you are looking for, you can support team ticket where we will be able to help you with any issue you might have.

Once again, we would like to welcome you to the points2shop community, and we hope that you enjoy your stay here.

Kind Regards,

The Points2shop Team

And another one that reads:

Your first offer just approved! Congratulations!
Now that you've seen how a little work here really does pay off, we hope you'll stay and continue to enjoy all the free things our site has to offer!

To be sure your offers keep approving, remember to clear your browser cookies after each offer you complete.

Cookies are small data files that your browser collects from every website you visit. They aren't harmful in any way, but clearing them frequently will help ensure that you are credited by Points2Shop/Cashle.
An example of why this works would be if you were on another site and clicked an ad that took you to the Blockbuster website, you would pick up a cookie from that visit. Perhaps you didn't register for Blockbuster during that visit, but now you do a Blockbuster offer here and decide to register. You may not receive credit for completing the offer because the credit went to the first site you were visiting when you clicked on the Blockbuster ad.
So, if you always delete your cookies before completing an offer, that will help keep you on the safe side because you are always starting fresh and you will get recognition from Points2Shop/Cashle when you complete an offer.

If you're using the Firefox browser to complete offers (which has the highest approval rates of any browser), you can clear you cookies by simply pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
Another great way is to use a program called CCleaner, which you can download here CCleaner
Using CCleaner, you can delete all of your cookies and temporary internet files with just one click of your mouse.

Clearing your cookies is the most important thing you can do for your offer approval rate.

Also, be sure that you are using your real information when completing offers. If you don't, they're likely to be reversed and all of your hard work would have been for nothing. We certainly don't want that to happen.

You may sometimes receive mail from completing offers, but it is rare and nothing that should present any kind of a problem for you.
You will sometimes receive phone calls as well, so a good way to get around this is by using a free voicemail or call-forwarding service. U.S. members can use www.k7.net or Brring.com for this.
And be sure to frequently create different e-mails to use on these offers. Gmail, inbox.com and hotmail are popular choices among members.
You Will receive spam e-mails from completing offers so it's a good idea to do this instead of using your personal e-mail.

For additional tips on how to complete offers successfully, take a look here:
Completing Offers

And check out this video to actually see an offer being done:

Now that you have the tools you'll need to succeed, get back out there and make some more money! You'll be ordering free prizes in no time!

Kind regards,

The Points2Shop Team

And no, I did not follow this link, or any of the reference links you have on your profile. I typed the URL into the address bar manually.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're either the creator, or an employee.

Anyways, the complaints I've read is that the websites give you points and prizes in the beginning, then will later accuse you of cheating and will make you pay them for all the prizes you've won.
I am NOT willing to test this out myself.

I'm just expressing my concerns for the people here on Fanpop, because I would hate for them to get scammed.

That's an automated message :) And it's not a scam, read their site info and wiki. You get points to complete tasks for their advertisers, like watch a commercial or episode of Talent, or take a survey about Pizza Hut. I've been a member for almost 6 months and haven't gotten scammed, only got free things delivered to my door I ordered from amazon. No way could I have afforded all those DVD collections, or my owl necklace, or the Pillars of the Earth for my mom's birthday. I think it's a great place, but if you don't like it you don't have to join. It's just a good opportunity for people like me who work full time but because of the economy, we still can't buy the things we want due to things like bills and gas and food. :)
