Don't know if anyone has discovered it yet but there is a new novel out there based or should I say, 'related'... to the famous sleuth. It's called 'The fruits of Bohemia' sa pamamagitan ng may-akda Bill Cornwell ('Residents of Wardate' ).
The pamagat gives us the first clue in what develops into an in depth adventure in present time. Can't give the game away too much. Needless to say there are murders, abductions and romance all intertwined in what proves to be a book difficult to put down. It's available on Kindle at the moment for 99p - it might even be free. Don't miss it!

A Few Words About 'Elementary'

For the past 120 years or so, Sherlock Holmes has reigned as the indisputable king of fictional characters the world over. So, with the richly deserved popularity of the newest Holmes offering sa pamamagitan ng the redoubtable BBC, it simply stands to tedious reason that American telebisyon would immediately want to rush out a 'knock off'. Enter 'Elementary', who's misplaced claim to fame is having cast Watson as (egads!!) a woman. Perhaps CBS would like us to forget about their two nakaraan unsold pilots come TV pelikula which featured a couple of perfectly charming lady Watson's (Margaret Colin and Deborah...

"SHERLOCK HOLMES" (2009) Review

I have never been a major tagahanga of the Sherlock Holmes novels and stories penned sa pamamagitan ng Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and other writers. Once, I tried to get interested in them sa pamamagitan ng pagbaba one or two novels. But they had simply failed to spark my interest.

I have shown a little madami enthusiasm toward the various pelikula and telebisyon adaptations of Doyle’s novels and characters. Mind you, I never became a faithful viewer of the telebisyon series that starred Jeremy Brett as Holmes. But I have do have my private listahan of Sherlock Holmes pelikula that I consider as personal favorites....
