They are officially in love with each other (no matter what &%@$ Moffat says afterwards), but they haven't admitted it to each other yet openly. Sherlock because he doesn't want to risk getting hurt once again (he must have a traumatized past) and John because this is something completely new to him and changes everything he knew about himself.
