There is a gory, swearing war between "Art Protectors" and "Recolorists." Don't call me a liberal (or Obama, for that matter), but I'm not in it. True, I removed all but 1 recolors from my gallery because I don't believe recoloring is right. True, I just sinabi that I don't believe it's right. BUT I AM NOT JOINING THIS WAR!
On the "Art Protector" side of the war, people cuss at recolorists, or they warn them about "art-theft," which it is. HELLO PEOPLE! "Art Protectors" are not monsters half the time. Most of the time, they want to instruct or critique the recolorists and help them be able find a way to draw the characters.
On the "Recolorists" side of the war (doesn't this sound like I'm doing a ulat on US history people?), fangirls will try and make their characters come to life. In the words of my friend, frylock243 from fanpop.com, "Because they're nothing but screenshots colored over usually in MS Paint sa pamamagitan ng lazy hacks who are scared to pick up a pencil. Most of the recolorists i see on the internet are underaged fangirls who can't take simple criticism, and will b**** and moan when someone dose criticize their image."
But, here was MY repsonse, "I couldn't care less either way if someone recolors or not, just as long as they don't recolor MY work. I say a picture is a picture, but I have to agree with frylock243. Nice character, but try to draw it sa pamamagitan ng hand susunod time if you know what's good for your internet survival. I'll try to help on that department if you want."
As you can see, I don't care! If I am to be pulled on either side, I would HAVE to be hurt on DeviantArt in some way, like every comment on my good art is a cuss, or if someone actually RECOLORED MY ART! I'm proud to be an artist. SO THERE!
