However you say it, I pag-ibig it.
They were the very first couple I really "shipped".
So they have a bit of a special place in my heart.
I was bawling my eyes out at the end of At World's End. The writers just didn't give us any closure.
But the segundo time I watched, I was able to see past what seemed to be the sinking of my ship.
1. Will and Elizabeth
Watching them, I felt that the "love" was extremely forced. They just don't have the same chemistry. Plus, at the beginning, we have them barely talking to each other. Then they drop everything and get married on the ship.
Not once, in the whole series, has Elizabeth told Will "I pag-ibig you." Even when she says "You thought I loved him" about Jack, she still doesn't reassure him.
2. The Kid
When the movie ends, it is with Jack decked out in his Captain Jack Sparrow gear – coat, hat, the whole nine yards – and pag-awit A Pirate's Life For Me.
In the scene after the credits, we see a little boy wearing a long amerikana (like Jack's) and a tricorn hat (like Jack's), pag-awit – who'da thunk it?? – A Pirate's Life For Me. (Like Jack.)
It may not be intentional, but even if he isn't Jack's child, we know Jack has been there as a father figure, or perhaps an uncle.
3. Flying Away.
I know I'm not alone when I mention my pag-ibig for the parachute scene. Jack has Elizabeth in his arms; the Sparrow and the Swann fly away. This was one of my paborito scenes. It's very moving. It shows that no matter what happens, they will always be there for each other, holding each other up., and finding their way back in the end.
Even though Will and Elizabeth are supposedly together, the ending was much better for our ship. We get Elizabeth, on an island, for 10 years.
Then we have Jack, with his compass that started it all.
They will find their way back to each other; It's really only a matter of when.
