Entertainment weekley actually has the nerve to ask if awatara is the susunod bituin Wars, or worse if its better than bituin Wars. How do you feel about that. The picture shows how I feel.

It's a life time work. 6 pelikula since 1977.
Still popular today, even a new animated serie.
bituin Wars is just legendary!
You can't just replace it sa pamamagitan ng one movie, that may cost a bit madami than the others but still.
Money isn't everything.
I would still like to see if awatara is still going to be so popular after 30 years.
bituin Wars will still last forever, and not only with the old generation but they're madami and madami young people who also pag-ibig it.

I think they ment as in the amount of groundbreakin cgi. Like... idk. For example, george lucas was the 1st person to do computer graphics on white backing. awatara will have been a first in terms of da amount of cg used in 3d. I don't think they mean in terms of how gud the film is, I've seen it and although it's good, I think bituin wars is better. That's a cool pic sa pamamagitan ng the way... :-)

awatara has an element of all the epics, like bituin Wars and the Matrix, so maybe they're trying to say that it will be rank alongside bituin Wars, not replace it.

awatara was good, no doubt, but it was no bituin Wars. It could never amount to what bituin Wars has become...it's just not possible. I mean, I'm swept off my feet every single time I watch bituin Wars... with awatara I wasn't really blown away. I mean parts of it were really stunning but I wasn't caught breathless at any moment and I like a movie that can do that. bituin Wars does that eternally.

Well I guess people want to beat bituin Wars. Can't happen people, even after like 30 something years bituin Wars lives on. With prequals and a kid's TV series, will awatara have that? I doubt it. Does awatara have it's own Natinal day? I don't think so. bituin Wars does!!! :D Natinal bituin Wars day, I think it's the araw the first bituin Wars movie came out, May 2nd is it? I don't know I just know that there's a Natinal bituin Wars day. And bituin Wars will live on forever, awatara pry won't.

I'm am completely flabbergasted that anyone would say that. Let's just sum up my thoughts: giant blue monkey people will NEVER replace bituin Wars! EVER! Who wrote that column? I'd like to go giant blue ninja monkey on THEM sometime! bituin Wars is epic, and will NEVER die. Just like a cockroach. (Idk, it was all I could think of...) Or a weed... I guess. Just think about it, who do you think would win in a fight, that one monkey chick, or Anakin Skywalker? That's what I thought!

While visually stunning, awatara was NOT original, especially in terms of story. Better than bituin Wars, it is not! As for it being the susunod bituin Wars, I can't really see either, as I don't believe awatara could pull off (or have for that matter) a sequel.
