to come pouring in until it was screened at MCM London Comic Con later this month, but a handful of people on Twitter are claiming that Warner Bros. test-screened it last night at Century 25 Union City and XD in Union City, California.
And what did these lucky moviegoers think of David Ayer\'s comic book movie?
got to watch an early screening of suicide squad and it was actually pretty great!
an "8," left satisfied, thinks Leto\'s Joker fits the film\'s aesthetics, and expects
to receive a warmer reception by film critics than Zack Snyder\'s
Saw Suicide Squad today! It met my expectations! Can\'t wait for the actual release! #SuicideSquad #earlyscreening
I RECOMMEND EVERYONE GO SEE SUICIDE SQUAD IN AUGUST!!! IT IS A PLEASER! YOU WILL BE SURPRISED!!
Lyssa thinks Margot Robbie made a "perfectly crazy" Harley Quinn, Will Smith is an "amazing" Deadshot, Killer Croc produced some big laughs, and Leto\'s Joker showed off a "different aspect of insanity."
@Ridd1e I just went to a test screening for the Suicide Squad movie :)
Saw a free first screening of #SuicideSquad last night! The movie was #amazing! All the characters were played incredibly well! #Recommended
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity.  U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do.  However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Written and directed by Ayer based on the characters from DC Comics, the film also stars Jai Courtney (“Insurgent”), Jay Hernandez (“Takers”), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (“Thor: The Dark World”), Ike Barinholtz (“Neighbors”), Scott Eastwood (“Fury”), Cara Delevingne (“Paper Towns”), Adam Beach (“Cowboys & Aliens”), and Karen Fukuhara in her feature film debut. It is produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle, with Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
opens worldwide in 3D, and in 2D, and in select IMAX 3D theaters beginning August 5, 2016.
I\'m not surprised. Like a lot of the lesser Marvel movies (i.e. GotG, Ant-Man, etc.) studios know full well they have to work much harder to make the less-bankable properties successful. They have to be better written, acted, etc. because they can\'t solely rely on name-recognition to pull in audiences. BvS is a great example. The opening week was excellent -- despite poor reviews and a sharp decline in week-to-week box office. BUT the name alone pulled in enough viewers that opening week to make the movie a relative success. Suicide Squad (or GotG, Ant-Man, etc.) doesn\'t enjoy that luxury, so they have to depend on good trailers, good reviews and effective marketing to make it a success. I\'m definitely looking forward to this entry to the DCCU.
The early reactions to BVS were positive too. It\'s hard to get too excited for SS even though I know it is a different director. I have really high hopes for this movie. Hopefully, it is as good as promised.
This is true, though I thought most of those early BvS reactions were from WB executives, etc. Hopefully these are accurate reactions for SS, really excited for this movie. David Ayers is a fantastic director.
I\'m not worried , like someone said above , "unproven" and new franchise have much leeway to do what they want , and less pressure from execs about how to portrait iconic characters
There is no controversial head honcho to give it a single and similar tone to MoS and BvS and the upcoming JLA  , even if some things gotta be in sync
And quite frankly Ayer is an excellent director , while Snyder is only or mostly recognized for visuals , and disputed on everything else
Christ. I hate this new Internet thing that "anybody who disagrees with me is clearly a paid plant."
