It can seems a silly doubt,but...the Stars (like Dark bituin of Bowser's Inside Story) are living creatures or only artifacts? Can they be male or female?

I do believe they are living things, especially (My Idol) the Dark Star. After all, it was autonomous, had a life energy, desires to rule the world, and was able to transform sa pamamagitan ng absorbing DNA-The coding of life. And, they're a species. I think they can have genders, although don't have the proper DNA. I don't think all stars are living, though. Power Stars from Super Mario 64, and the Mario Party series are all confirmed to not be alive; although the Galaxy counterparts are up to pagtatalo being special, full-grown Lumas. Starman (the item that grants invincibility), I c't say a thing. Hope this helps.

No, because in several Mario games Super Stars can be picked up, which makes them items, not living things.
