Well. Charlotte’s vocals complimenting Tommy’s on Under Grey Skies on the new Kamelot album. That was wildly unexpected. I’m going to go drown in feels. Goodbye.

I’ve met Delain when they were supporting Nightwish this USA tour. They’re the most classiest people I’ve met in my entire life. They keep growing their US fanbase by meeting up with their fans after their gigs. I’ve also talked with Charlotte. She’s such a sweet lady and a very down-to-earth person. Looking forward for them to headline next time they tour the US!


I liked See Me In Shadow with Charlotte and Liv but I’d love to hear it with Charlotte and Mathias Nygård.


I sing along to Nightwish, Evanescence, Delain, and Tarja.


I listened to After Forever’s Decipher today in the car. Floor is amazing on that album, and it made me realize that if she sang classically ( aka opera style) on Endless Forms Most Beautiful, she would’ve over powered the album. In otherwords her classical voice it just tad too much for the music right now. So, it was a good thing Toumas went for a softer, mellower approach. Hopefully, the next album, Toumas will let Floor loose on the classical.

I saw Nightwish live. It was super fucking amazingly epically awesome! I LOVE FLOOR! I LOVE MARCO, EMPUU, TOUMAS, TROY AND KAI! I like Floor better that Tarja, though I may have trouble choosing if and when I see Tarja live.


Hands down, Tarja Turunen and Floor Jansen are my two favorite vocalists in symphonic metal.

Floor needs to ditch Nightwish and go back to Revamp tbh


I’d love to watch a Symphonic Metal music awards show. It’d be like the CMA’s only for Symphonic Metal and it’d be wonderful!


I feel like it would have been more justified for Epica to make a huge 24 minute long song than it was for Nightwish to do it. I could just see Epica making a grander song with 24 whole minutes. *hides behind desk*


Within Temptation could do a very beautiful cover of Somewhere Only We Know if they chose to.


Don’t crucify me for this, but Morten’s growls are the only thing that worth in Sirenia. I can’t stand Ailyn vocals, don’t matter how much I listen to, I just can’t.


I think that Holopainen is really overrated as a composer. He is repeating all the time the same scheme within songs and exploate the same motifs from DPP in EFMB. The Greatest show on Earth seems for me like a torture with that super long intro and outro which consist mostly of the same repeating piano. Middle part sounded like Bye Bye Beautiful but with lyrics on evolution. In symphonic/power metal you can find more talented composers: Luca Turilli or even Mark Jansen (if you compare TQE to EFMB you will see how nightwish album is bland both musically and lyrically, it’s clearly visible that Jansen listen to classical music instead of playing Hans Zimmer soundtracks all the time).

Tuomas is also very overrated imo.
