OK I am contemplating 2 options right now as to what to do.

1)just give up on my sims 2 and buy the sim3

2) i have never been big on getting expansion packs so i might go out and buy used ones.

what should i do.

are there things that you could do in the sims 2 that you can't do in the sim3? how about items that you miss. etc.

i don't particularly care about the customization of the sims and furniture. That is cool but it is not convincing me to buy.

as well, i am going to be playing on a mid range laptop. and i am just fitting into the requirements. so anyone playing on a laptop how is that going?

well an expansion pack sims 2 nightlife lets you create people into vampires, which is very fun. Sims 3 dosen't have this but prbly will if they start to make expansion packs. But sims 3 is way bettr than sims 2 - you can go to lots, peoples houses - without having a pagkarga up screen! There is madami detail and madami objects. However sims 3 needs a high video card, if i were you i would choose the sims 3, if you have the128mb card. You can not get bored off it, there is so many different types of people to interact with and new stuff to do!

Just look at it this way, you could buy the Sims 3 and eventually grow tired of it, or you could buy two ExPacks for The Sims 2 for the same amount of money and stay entertained for longer. Just an idea. The Sims 3 is overpriced in my opinion.
