Please don't get me wrong, I am pretty sure this will be regarded as a highly controversial opinion, but I guess it has to be said. I'm sorry if I offend anyone, I really don't mean to.
I don't like where TVD is heading. At the moment, it feels as though the writers are being indecisive, changing crucial details as and when they feel like to string along all the shippers they can manage.
Need one example? The 'choice' Elena made in the season 3 finale. After an entire season of Delena, Stelena shippers though it was over. Elena would choose Damon. After all, that's the most likely decision. However, the producers notice the decline in numbers of people watching the show. Stelena fans have ibingiay up hope. What do they do? Ignore the entire season before it and let Elena choose Stefan. Now, I, even as a Delena fan, have no problem with this. If she had chosen Damon when Stefan was recovering from returning to the ripper side of things she would be heartless.
The problem I have with this was the conversation on the phone.
"Maybe if I had met you first..." she says. And then, in a 'shocking' twist, it turns out she did meet him first. Obviously (as can be seen on ANY website), the number of Delena shippers is higher than any other ship, so the writers didn't want to lose Delena fans, especially not during the finale.
What's the problem here? The ipakita is being run sa pamamagitan ng the relationships on it. Let's take another ipakita now, for comparison's sake. Let's say...Grey's Anatomy. Now I know the genres are different, the target audience is different and the situation is different. Still, the ipakita has just about as many main characters. They have relationships with anything that has two legs. Still, when something changes and a relationship doesn't work anymore, they ilipat on. The ipakita runs the relationships, not the other way around.
I'm not saying that the relationships aren't important. It's a teen angsty supernatural romance drama. There are bound to be pag-ibig triangles or quadrangles or in this case, octagons. It only gets irritating when these relationships are the only thing driving the story forward. The ipakita has to trust that the plot line is just as capable of attracting fans as its characters and not be so scared to let the characters make a choice.

Tyler opened his eyes and gasped for air. The night was slowly giving in to the araw and Tyler was still tied onto that chair.
“Good morning, sunshine” Klaus said, who was sitting in front of him in Indian style. He had a small flask in his left hand. “I hope you’re hungry”
“Can’t you just let me go already?” Tyler said, who was having trouble breathing. Blood came streaming from his eyes. What was wrong?
“I can’t let you go” Klaus said. “Not before you had breakfast” He continued, waving the flask. He scribbled up and opened the flask.
Tyler pressed his lips together, but Klaus easily separated them and poured the blood that was in the flask into his mouth.
“Now you won’t be so eager to run off, now will you?” Klaus sinabi as he untied Tyler.

Tyler followed Matt into the men’s restroom. He first checked if no one else was there and then grabbed Matt’s arm.
“What the hell is your problem?” Matt asked surprised.
“I can ask you the same question” Tyler hissed.
“I don’t get it” Matt sinabi confused.
“You need to knock it off” Tyler said. “Caroline doesn’t want you anymore, so you can stop with the annoying taxes”
“What taxes? Tyler, I have no idea what you’re talking about” Matt said.
Tyler pulled out his phone and showed Matt the tax he just got.
“Dude, that’s not even my number” Matt said.
“I know it’s hard to see me and Caroline together, but pagganap like a jealous ex-boyfriend isn’t going to put you back in her good books. So I think it’s best for both of us if you would just knock it off” Tyler threatened. He let go of Matt and left the restroom, leaving Matt dumbfounded.

I could kick myself. Why the hell had I done it? Like the stupid thing was any use to me anyway. Of course I knew why I had done it: boredom and a pinagmulan of entertainment. These two things were precisely the reason why I had done many of the things I had done in my 1000 years of existence.
Now I was running from werewolves. You could say I was on their "most wanted list" which was definitely not a good thing. mga asong lobo hunted in packs and are a very loyal species. It was impossible to know how much of them were after me. Of course I was no stranger to being on the run which is why I never really had any real relationships. Before this…well that was a very long story indeed…
It was five minutos to Midnight. Jeremy wandered around at Fell’s Church, glancing at his watch. He looked around to see if the nurse wasn’t there yet. He heard murmur behind him and turned around quickly.
“Don’t say I’m late” the nurse sinabi when Jeremy opened his mouth. She looked around to see if no one could see them.
“I doubt anyone’s going to see this” Jeremy mumbled. The nurse sighed and put her hand in her pocket. She took out a cylinder box and gave it to Jeremy. Sonata it said. “It’s a new medicine. It only stays in your body for a short time, and it works if you have trouble falling asleep. It’s safe, but take only one. If something happens it’s on me” she sinabi worried.
“No one would know you gave me the pills” Jeremy said. “I’m not going to betray you”
“Well, that’s a relief” the nurse sinabi cynical.
“Hey, can I know your name?” Jeremy asked.
But the girl was already gone.
