Who is Klaus in the books?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Julie Plec had this to say about Rose dropping Klaus’ name in the final moments of episode 208:
The mystery of Klaus and when we’ll see Klaus is going to be the same tanong of ‘When will we see Katherine?’ from last season. We’re gonna learn a lot about him and be hopefully very afraid of him before we ever lay eyes on him. That’s gonna be a nice, big, long healthy tease. It’s so funny, the way we dropped the bomb of his name last episode [Rose sinabi The Originals, the oldest vampires, will be coming for Elena, and they'll be doing it for him, Klaus], Kevin and I were laughing. We’re like, the book fans are gonna lose their freakin’ minds in this moment, and the rest of America is gonna go, ‘Huh… Alright. Who’s that?’ [Laughs] But it’s one of those moments that you’re like, I don’t care because I know the million book fans are gonna be so excited that it’s worth it.”

And she was right! In the Vampire Diaries book series, Klaus is actually Katherine’s maker and, as is par for the course with the TV series, they’ve switched it up to keep book fans guessing. In the show, Katherine essentially makes herself, after tricking Rose into giving her blood; her history with Klaus is now much, much different. In the books, Klaus is the Big Bad of book 4, Dark Reunion, come to wreak merry havoc on Fell’s Church, Virginia (because he was apparently quite bored). Tall, Nordic-looking, powerful, charismatic, and creepy as hell, the Klaus of the books claims to be carrying a bronze ax in his earliest memories. He makes passing references to the fall of Rome, fighting with Alexander’s army, and being in the Trojan War, so you know he’s old. He also brags a lot, but what makes him scary is that his follow-through on sinabi boasts is excellent. Also, he’s so insane he’s wrapped back ’round to sane again, if you can imagine that. (L.J. Smith once stated that she based the character on Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher, possibly one of the greatest horror pelikula of the eighties.) He also has a penchant for quoting mga tula (Kipling, Auden, Housman, and Roethke) and has a soft spot for fifties music (see if you can ever listen to The Spaniels’ “Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight” the same way again after pagbaba Dark Reunion).

The brooding ex boyfriend of Elena Gilbert who then went on to petsa one of her best mga kaibigan Caroline Forbes.

Other than this, he wasn't really that much of an important character. Can we give a round of applause for the New and better vampire BARBIE of the show. I mean this girl is smoking and she in my opinion is the prettiest girl susunod to Elena on the show.
She gave the ipakita such a nice POP to it when we were introduced to her in 3x03 and I never had such a connection to a character on this ipakita so fast since Lexi(coming soon). Now I know fans had a negative reaction to her at first but I don't see how you could she was a total bad asno and quenched my thirst for Katherine and she totally rocked every outfit she wore on the ipakita like a pro..can you say soooo much SWAG...

It’s come to my attention that a lot of angry shipping messages have been sent to the lovely Julie Plec recently via Twitter. I thought it might be a good idea for fans to give her a break from the drama for a araw and flood her with nice things.

Rules:

1- DON’T bash ships. As ideal is it would be, the point of the araw is to focus on the positive and let her know that we support her regardless of endgame…not to try to win an argument.

Ok, so I'd like to propose something. I know all of us on here pag-ibig tvd soo much! We all have different opinions, ships, and ideas. Our diversity is such a great thing but, as we all know, it can lead to trully ugly and mean-spirited fights. I've seen people try to rip eachother to shreds over tvd and it's an embarassment to our epic show! All of us have been guilty of letting our passion get the best of us. At the end of the araw and despite our differences, we're all tvd fans. I'd like to offer up an idea. Let's put a simple "I will" or something like that if we want to try to be madami civil...
