This is my opinion about why Damon should win Elena:
Damon is a much madami complicating character than Stefan. He is strong, intelligent, always wears a mask to hide his true feelings and in the beginning he is being presented to us as the bad guy who is proved not to be so bad after all. In reality, if we look a bit deeper, we will find out that Damon hides much madami behind that mask than we know.
One thing is certain: the main feelings are pain and rejection. While still human, Damon was constantly overshadowed sa pamamagitan ng his little brother, Stefan. He loved his mother very much, yet she had to die...

    The susunod araw Stefan was at the house. Elena and he were watching Dracula 2000 of all things. He had the occasional chuckle and was absently rubbing her knuckles with his thumb. This place, was so comfortable. With his arm around her, she could settle into his chest and be completely at ease. Or at least she could before a week ago.

Okay, So I finished this book today a few hours nakaraan and I’m still very much angry. Why, you ask? well because it turned out nothing as I imagined. and yes, that is a bad thing. The book starts off where Shadow Souls left off, (spoilers for Shadow Souls) Damon is human. Now, I imagined that this would play a really big part of the book. That he would stay human for a good portion of the book, and that Damon was, Oh i don’t know, sick. Because anything is possible when you were Bampira turned human sa pamamagitan ng a bulaklak sent sa pamamagitan ng a Kitsune....
