Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Tonight Alive hit Reading Festival on Sunday. Here's what we made of it all.
With the band taking to the stage decked in matching black and white uniform and Jenna sporting a harness and heavy black eye make up, it's a striking look and as clear an indication as there ever was that they're heading in a bold new direction.
IT'S TAKING A BIT OF GETING USED TO... BUT THAT'S OKAY
The material they play from this year's album 'Limitless' doesn't
excite as much as their older material. The likes of 'To Be Free' and 'Waves' do little to rouse a tent half full of people sat on the floor nursing their hangovers.
Then again - every shift in direction is going to take a bit of getting used to, huh?
When they dip into the back catalogue, the results couldn't be any more different. Songs like 'The Ocean' and 'Listening' are every bit as exciting and anthemic as they ever were, and the massive singalongs that greet them suggest the crowd here agrees.
There's no faulting their sound, with this performance as tight as ever. As Jenna climbs speaker stacks and marshals the crowd with ease, she proves for what feels like the hundredth time what incredible presence she is, which makes the muted reaction to their newer material all the more frustrating.
