Look, very few people seem to grasp this concept. Perhaps because they're too young or they're too ignorant to care:
It doesn't matter if you give credit to something you colored over. The art is someone's hard work that they put alot of time an effort into. How would you like it if you were a very talented artist, and someone came along and colored all over your art? It would hurt, wouldn't it? They just took what YOU put time into making and made it their own, just coloring over it.
Bases are okay to use. That's WHY they're made sa pamamagitan ng artists: So people don't color over the hard work that they put into the origional picture. A base is just what the name is. Something to work off of.
And please, don't you even SAY "What if they have to color over"
That, i'm sorry for my language, is a load of bullsh*t.
Noone HAS to color over. I don't care if people are terrible at drawing on paint, don't have a scanner, or can't take a picture with a digital camera and upload it onto the computer.
I REALLY don't care.
That's why it's called PRACTICING.
I used to draw with a mouse pad, on paint, until i was about 13, when i got a tablet (For those who don't know what a tablet is, it where you can draw directly onto your computer with a pen, as if you were drawing with pen and paper, only it's digital. Look up a better definition, mine's not that good xD"). Although my pictures were absolutely TERRIBLE at first, that didn't stop me from trying to get better. As long as people try and practice, you can only get better. It takes time, but you'll pag-ibig the results. And so what if it doesn't get alot of views? Wouldn't you be happier with something YOU made yourself instead of feeling a bit ashamed that you colored over someone else's work?
I hope you see my point. Because coloring over someone else's work is art theft. And excuses like "I can't draw on paint/at all" are TERRIBLE excuses. And i'm not letting people who use those excuses get sa pamamagitan ng without this lecture...

i know what you mean even though i do bses and sometimes colour overs n draw on paint its hard for m to draw on paint and i dnt hav a scanner so cant do it do bases mostly but i understand nd i dnt mind

Color-overs suck and irritate me. I rest my case.

And again, stop spamming this spot with your suckish mary-sues and get some help.
