So. Courtney had become my “rival,” as they call it.
Lovely. Just lovely.
Are you sure you want to know what happened? Guess what? I am TOTALLY over her. I mentioned that already.
Do not ask why I am Pagsulat this thing, but I guess my mom was right when I was like nine and she sinabi I might come to a point in my life when I just needed to write on something. So, I estola some of Courtney’s study papers.
Haha. Courtney’s study papers. Well, to be honest, I already knew all that. It just sinabi boring math problems on it.
So, the story.
It was so true. Courtney HAD become my rival. Well, I didn’t exactly want her as a rival, but I definitely didn’t want her as a friend either.
And don’t even think about a girlfriend.
As I also sinabi before, I was OVER her. Jeesh. Why couldn’t anyone get that one fact straight?
Okay. On with the story. Well, it was the kung-fu challenge. I know that was like a week ago, but still!
First, she had tried to make me think girls were “better” than guys.
Ha! Like that would ever happen. And I had proved it.
So. The person I was supposed to train was Harold, so I didn’t mind hurting him.
Courtney was training Beth. Like Beth would ever beat Harold, not that Harold is that strong either. It all started when I had felt that weird flicker in my chest.
No, it was NOT the same flicker I had felt when she had held my hand during the phobia challenge on TDI. It was an anger flicker.
Duhhh. Anyway, so we were putting weights on Beth and Harold, and we made them do push ups. That Courtney still inspires me. But I was still stronger than her. I knew I was.
I was so thankful Owen chose us over the girls, to tell “super secret insider info.” But, then, the dude totally betrayed us! He actually went over and told them stuff, how am I supposed to know what it was?! And I caught Courtney FLIRTING with him.
Flirting, dude, flirting!
Anyway, sure it was a blast getting Harold to kick himself, but beating Courtney was far madami fun!
(Haha.)
So, it went like this. It seemed like we were tied, until she got me really mad.
I was like, This is it. No more, Miss Goody-goody.
“This… means… war!” I heard myself screeching.
I never meant to, it just… well… I just felt like it, okay?!
Anyway, I got Harold to beat up Beth, when Courtney’s controller-thingy broke.
I was thinking, Yeah loser! Ha!
This was the first time I had actually won her one-on-one. So, that made me feel even better!
I was becoming a really, really bad person, wasn’t I?
I knew the answer. No. I wasn’t. I was becoming madami of a softie than a bad boy.
But this?! Oh, it felt good. To win. And to beat Courtney?! Even better!

(Not-journal-writing Duncan’s POV)
“Call time in- 10 minutes!” I heard Chris say the susunod morning.
I grumbled and rolled over.
But somehow, I managed to clamber out of bed. Heck, it was still dark out!
Everyone else joined my like 3 mins later.
Chris jumped in with a weird astronaut jump. He was in one of those huge astronaut bumagay that made people lok ridiculous!
“Nice suit,” I said, grinning.
“Thank you, O young one,” Chris sinabi back.
O Young One?
“Uhhh… okay then.” I shrugged.
“Today’s challenge is a puwang theme.” Great. Just absolutely great. “You’ll all have to be astronauts! Isn’t that great?” He laughed his annoying Chris-y laugh.
Uh… no, that’s not great.
“Yesss!” Doris (Harold) said. “Another challenge where I will be able to ipakita my mad skills!” He did a snap-kick, and fell backwards.
I stifled a laugh.
“Why do you keep calling us ‘O Young Ones’?” Courtney asked.
“’Cause he’s an astronaut, dumbo,” I said.
“I can see, for your info, Juvie-Boy!” Courtney snapped back. “What does that have to do with ‘O Young One’?”
“Nothing,” Chris said, “I just felt like it.”
Courtney shot me a smug grin. I scowled back.
“But first,” Chris continued, “We have to bring someone back.”
“Not again,” Courtney groaned. “Who is it this time?”
(Gwen’s POV)
ARGH! Just say it already, Chris! I want to meet Duncan NOW!
“Okay, uh… unknown person, you can come.” Chris’s voice sounded weird when he was wearing a puwang suit. Well, duh. Was I becoming a total dummie?
Unknown person? Oh, well. I strolled out, looking as cool as I could manage.
I waved at Duncan. His eyes widened at he waved back.
Was is possible… that he was crushing on me? No.
Nuh-uh, it couldn’t be.
“Gwen!” Duncan exclaimed. He rushed over to me. “You’re back,” he whispered when the others were out of earshot.
“Yeah,” I said. “What’s up?”
I didn’t quite feel the same around him like I used to. But I did have some cool-ness left in me.
“Ugh. You saw the last episode, right?” His cute blue eyes were gleaming with excitement.
“Yeah. You won!” I sounded cheerful.
“I beat Courtney. Did you see me? I totally beat her!”
Wait. “Don’t you… uh… have feelings for her anymore?”
Whoops. Dumb question. What was I, his grandmother? And did I just say ‘feelings’?
But he just laughed. “Nah.”
Really? Things were working out great for me!
First I got to come back to TDA, and now Duncan sinabi he didn’t like Courtney!
I guess the karma from when I vote myself off DID count for something.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah. I must say this, Gwen. I like you.”
“W-what?” I stammered. “Oh. I do, too.”
“Seriously?” He quoted me.
I laughed.
Duncan walked back to the others, his hand on my shoulder.
(Duncan’s POV)
W-wow. She actually sinabi she liked me. I couldn’t believe my good luck!
I could see Courtney glaring at Gwen.
And then she was glaring at me. Hey! What was I doing?
I didn’t care. I loved Gwen.
I shifted towards her. “Meet me at the bridge, you know… at midnight.”
“Right.” She nodded.
(Challenge is unknown, so I’ll skip it.)

That night, I waited anxiously for midnight to come by.
When it was 11:30, I couldn’t wait anymore; so I just headed off to the bridge.
Gwen was already there.
“Hey,” she announced casually.
“Uh… hi,” I said.
“You’re early,” she stated.
“So are you.” And she was. “What are you doing here?”
She shrugged. “I couldn’t wait.”
I shook my head. “Should we…?”
“Start over?” She laughed her charming laugh. “Of course.”
(Gwen’s POV)
He smiled at me. He leaned in. My lips parted to meet his. Which they did, again and again and again.
I loved that feeling.
And I loved Duncan. And I would, forever.
