-----------------------------------------------------------
It is pasko Eve at the Peterson's house. A large and grand house with the most beautiful puno imaginable. The Peterson's are hosting their annual pasko party, welcoming the arrival of their family and friends. The children, Svetlana and Mike, are dancing and playing as they welcome their mga kaibigan too." I'm so excited to see all of my friends," sinabi Svetlana excitedly. "Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just excited to see all of my presents," replied Mike. You see, no one was allowed to go into the living room until everyone was here. "Geese, Mike. All you care about are gifts. Gifts this. Gifts that. I bet you can't go an oras without speaking about gifts," exclaimed Svetlana. The two started bickering and it didn't stop until their mom came and stopped them. An oras passed and everyone arrived. They all drank manuntok and ate delicious treats. Everyone was mingling and having a good time. Around 6:00, Svetlana's dad walked in front of the whole crowd where everyone could see him. He announced," Attention everyone. It is now time to go in and see our beautiful pasko tree". Everyone walked into the living room and gazed at the magnificent tree. People started complementing Mr. and Mrs. Peterson on their tree.
The party grows festive with music and dance. Svetlana was the most excited to see her godfather, Drosselmeyer. He is a skilled clock and toy maker and always full of surprises. They know he is magical. "I'm so excited to see Drosselmeyer", exclaimed Svetlana. She waited and waited for him, but never arrived. He finally comes and the two children run up and hug their godfather. With him was his nephew. Svetlana and Mike just looked at each other in delight. They have never met his nephew before, but they knew he had one. "Mike, Svetlana. This is my nephew, Manitoba," sinabi godfather Drosselmeyer. The two kids replied with a simple hello. "Hello," Manitoba replied. Drosselmeyer draws everyone's attention as he presents three large boxes. He walked over to one and opens it. In one box there are two mga manika that can dance ballet. They danced for ma minuto or two and then Drosselmeyer put them back in the box. In another box there is a soldier that can also dance ballet. The soldier danced a minuto or two, then he was back in his box. They are the delight of the party. Finally, in the third box, there were toys for all the children. He handed china mga manika to the girls and soldiers and instruments to the boys. "Thank you so much, Uncle. I loved how they danced so gracefully. They were beautiful," sinabi Svetlana. "Your very welcome, my dear," replied Drosselmeyer. "They were OK. Now, where's my gift," exclaimed Mike.
The children begin to play with their gifts when Drosselmeyer presents his to Svetlana and Mike. Mike got a toy drum and a soldier hat. Although his gift to Mike is quite nice, he gives Svetlana a beautiful Nutcracker that becomes the hit of the party. "Oh, wow. I pag-ibig it. It's beautiful. Thank you so much," sinabi Svetlana excitedly. "Your quite welcome," ang sumagot Drosselmeyer. Mike notices the nutcracker and instantly becomes jealous and, having a bit madami spunk than a boy should have, grabs the nutcracker from Svetlana and promptly breaks it. "MIKE. What have you done?!" Svetlana exclaims. "I'm... I'm so sorry Svetlana. I didn't mean to," sinabi Mike. Svetlana, heartbroken, runs over to her godfather. "Can you fix him?" asked Svetlana. Looking on as Drosselmeyer quickly repairs the Nutcracker with a handkerchief he magically draws from the air. There was one last dance of the evening. Everyone took their partners and of course Manitoba asked Svetlana if she would dance with him. She sinabi yes and they, along with other groups, danced the night away. As the evening grows late, the guests depart and the Peterson family retires for the evening. Manitoba and Svetlana didn't want to leave each other, but were forced to go to bed. She got in bed, but couldn't sleep. Svetlana, worried about her beloved Nutcracker, sneaks back to the puno to check on him. She falls asleep with him in her arms.
As the clock strikes midnight strange things begin to happen. Svetlana wakes up to the ding dong of the clock. She rubs her eyes and notices that it's midnight. On tuktok of her clock she could see a figure that looked like Godfather Drosselmeyer. "Godfather Drosselmeyer, what are you doing up there? Get down now or you'll hurt yourself," exclaims Svetlana quietly. The figure sinabi nothing, but blew out ginto dust and then disappeared. It got all over Svetlana. This is when everything got weird. She begins shrinking as her beautiful pasko puno grows high above her. Just then, the toys around the puno come to life while the room fills with an army of mice, led sa pamamagitan ng the fierce mouse King. The mouse King was large and fat, with a scar across his face and part of his tail was missing. On his head, he had a ginto crown and in his hand he has a shiny sword. Svetlana, terrified sa pamamagitan ng what's going on, hides behind the couch. The Nutcracker awakens from his slumber and then he leads his army of toy soldiers into battle with the mice. To Svetlana, The Nutcracker looked exactly like Manitoba, and the thing was, it was Manitoba. The mouse King and Nutcracker fight as they climb up pasko tree. When they get to the top, the mouse King corners the Nutcracker and battles him one-on-one, again. The Nutcracker seems to be no match for the mouse King. The Nutcracker and his army can go on no longer and are captured sa pamamagitan ng the mice and their King. "Well, well, well. Who have I caught here," says the mouse King. "Let me go, or I'll kill you!" exclaims the Nutcracker. Svetlana notices that the Nutcracker was captured sa pamamagitan ng the mouse king and makes a final daring charge. She gathers some of the soldiers and puts a mouse trap behind him. She get's the king's attention sa pamamagitan ng throwing her slipper at the mouse King, hitting him square on the head. The mouse King falls into the mouse trap and gets killed. The mice run away, carrying off their leader's lifeless body. The Nutcracker and Svetlana run off to a crack in the pader and behind it was, The Land of Snow.
The Nutcracker and Svetlana walk around in the wonderful snow filled land. The snow fall was beautiful and five minutos later the Nutcracker turns into a handsome prince and takes Svetlana to explore the Land of Snow, an enchanted forest wonderland where they are welcomed sa pamamagitan ng dancing snowflakes. The snowflakes dance and fly around like.....well..........snowflakes. "It's so beautiful," says Svetlana. "Yeah, it is," ang sumagot Manitoba. He hands Svetlana a bunch of white roses. Svetlana smiles and kisses Manitoba on the cheek. The two walk around until Manitoba has a wonderful idea. The Prince escorts Svetlana to the Land of Sweets where they are greeted sa pamamagitan ng the Sugar kaakit-akit Fairy. "Hello, Prince. Who is this? A friend?" asked the Sugar kaakit-akit Fairy. "This is Svetlana,". "Well, It's very nice to meet you. Now, Prince. Why don't you tell us about you adventure as the Nutcracker," sinabi the Sugar kaakit-akit Fairy. The Prince tells her about their daring battle with the army of mice and she rewards them with a celebration of dances. She sits them down at a mesa with a feast, so they can see the performances. They were:
The Spanish Dance of Hot Chocolate
The Arabian Dance of Coffee
The Chinese Dance of Chinese Tea
The kendi Canes
The Shepherd Girls of Marzipan
The Waltz of Flowers
The two young adults whispered to each other about the great performances and the funny costumes. They laughed, ate the feast and chatted some more. As a finale, the Sugar kaakit-akit Fairy and her Cavalier dance a beautiful Pas De Deux. When they finished, Svetlana thanked her for the performances and feast. "Your very welcome, but now you must go," sinabi the Sugar kaakit-akit Fairy. "But, why?" asked Svetlana. "Because, it is still too dangerous for the both of you. Any of the mice that are still alive could come here and kill either of you. I have a carriage ready for you," replied The Sugar kaakit-akit Fairy. Svetlana and Manitoba hopped into the carriage and they were flown out of sight.
Svetlana awakens from her dream and finds herself sa pamamagitan ng her pasko puno with her beloved Nutcracker. She gets up and walks over to the curtain and opens it. It was pasko morning. The new fallen snow made the world look like a white blanket covering the Earth. Svetlana walked into the dining room where she saw her parents and brother sitting around the mesa getting ready to eat. "Good Morning, mother, father, Mike. Merry Christmas," exclaims Svetlana. "Good morning, sweetie, and Merry pasko to you too," ang sumagot Svetlana's mom. "Oh yeah. sa pamamagitan ng the way, Drosselmeyer and his nephew, Manitoba, are coming to breakfast. They should be here any minute," says Svetlana's dad. Ding Dong. The door kampanilya rings. "That must be them. Why don't you go answer it, Svetlana,". "OK," ang sumagot Svetlana. She runs up to the door and opens it. "Merry Christmas, Drosselmeyer. Manitoba," sinabi Svetlana as she hugs them both. "Merry Christmas, Svetlana," ang sumagot her godfather. "Where is your parents?" he asked. "In the dining room, she replied. Her godfather left Svetlana and Manitoba alone in the room. "It's really nice to see you again, Manitoba," sinabi Svetlana. "You too," replied Manitoba. They stood there not speaking a word. Then Svetlana looked up. Manitoba wondered what she was looking at and they both noticed a leathery-leaved parasitic plant also known as mistletoe. The two looked back at each other in nervousness. Finally, Manitoba made the first move. He kissed her. She looked back at him and smiled. She grabbed her hand and they both walked into the dining room to sumali their family.
