Chapter Ten
Mason had gotten a call from Olivia. Since he didn't answer, she left him a voicemail. What really hurt him was listening to it. If he wasn't a tough man, he probably would have cried his eyes out. Olivia left for Vermont saying she needed puwang and needed to find herself. He didn't actually understand it but he listened anyway. He spent hours replaying the voicemail. He could tell you everything she sinabi word for word.
There it is. That upsetting feeling he has whenever he blew something. Last year he blew a big movie deal and that feeling came. The susunod araw he fixed it and it turned out to be the best thing he ever did. That gut feeling tells him to do the right thing and the right thing is to go after her and marry her. He realized that Olivia was one of a kind and deserved to be with someone that would treat her right. It didn't have to be him but he was sure hoping it was him. He knew her feelings towards him was what he felt towards her. She couldn't have just left without a formal goodbye.
Although he wanted to stay tahanan and try to get his life back on track, he had to go to work and finish the movie. It was the right thing to do right now but as soon as work was over he would call Olivia and patch things up. What if she left because of him. No! He couldn't even bare the thought. She wouldn't just leave like this.
As soon as he arrived the manager came rushing up to him. Phillip was none for his dramatic personality. He was sweating and was blinking rapidly. His mouth was open and was breathing harsh. "The jail people just called. They sinabi that Cassidy has been arrested."
"I'll go see what that is about," Mason said. He drove to the police station. It was a pretty dull place. The receptionist was an Asian lady who was smoking a cigarette. She had rough features and an unpleasant look on her face.
"Hey rich stuff, why ya here?" she asked. She eyed him up and down in an interested way.
Mason who felt exposed asked where Cassidy Golden was and she pointed him in the right direction. He had to go out to the courtyard and wait for the officer to drop her off. Cassidy looked like a deer caught in headlights. Her expression was genuinely scared.
"What are you doing here?" he asked sternly.
"Look I want to to tell you but you gotta promise that you won't tell anyone." She fumbled with her fingers.
"No promises," he replied cooly.
"Then I am not speaking," she said.
"Okay, fine I promise." He was holding his fingers for that promise. If it was truly terrible then of course he would have to tell people about it but if the press found out. Hourglass would be the most horrible movie all because of Cassidy and maybe him also. "Tell me."
"I was the one that burnt down Olivia's house. I only meant to scare her. I didn't know that her parents would be there." she rambled on and on about how she was sorry but this was probably why Olivia left.
"Wait, did you make Olivia leave?" he questioned.
"What do you mean? I didn't know she left but I am glad she did. She wasn't right for you. I was and you have gotta get me out of here. Milo can stay and do the time but I can't. I am too pretty for jail."
"Have a nice life," he mumbled. Mason left the mesa and didn't turn back to see the guard whisk Cassidy away back to her tiny cell.
Everything made since now. Olivia left because of Cassidy and now all he had to do was tell Olivia that it is okay to come back. He called and she picked up on the first ring. "Um uy Olivia. I have something to tell you," he began.
"Who is this?" asked a woman in a thick Jamaican accent. "I don't know who you think you are fella but as soon as I find you I will kill ya, ya hear? Now stop Fallon me before I call the police."
She hung up. I guess with a new hon comes a new cell phone number. There goes his chance of ever contacting Olivia and tell her she could come home. He didn't have one idea but it was impossible and he would have to do it after his movie launched.
Here he was in June and feeling as lonely as he was when he started the movie in May.

I stood sa pamamagitan ng you,
Ever so proudly,
In the darkness of war,
Never betraying you,
Always sa pamamagitan ng your side.
I protected you,
Never let you down when
Things got rough,
I stood sa pamamagitan ng you
Through araw and night,
Summer and winter.
Stand sa pamamagitan ng me now,
Be my loyal friend,
Never falter when the Fuhrer
Shoots his nasty gaze down at you.
Be strong,
My faithful friend.
Be strong,
And protect me from the evils
Of the world.
Be strong,
Never falter,
And always have courage.
Go now, my faithful friend.
Run free.
Ever so proudly,
In the darkness of war,
Never betraying you,
Always sa pamamagitan ng your side.
I protected you,
Never let you down when
Things got rough,
I stood sa pamamagitan ng you
Through araw and night,
Summer and winter.
Stand sa pamamagitan ng me now,

Be strong,

And always have courage.
Go now, my faithful friend.
Run free.
Like you don't have another care
Fight till the end.
Fight till the end,
Cuz you got all ya power.
Fight like a trooper.
You've got hope
You've got strength
You've got pag-ibig on ya side,
So fight now.
Just fight now.
Fight till the end,
You've got all these people
Rootin for ya,
Rootin for ya.
You'll win the fight,
You'll freakin survive,
And you'll be proud
Cuz you fought till the end,
And won it,
And won it.
Fight till the end,
You'll win.
Everything inside ya
Is powerful.
So fight till the end.
Just fight till the end.
AND FIGHT IT!!!
Now that you left me....
My soul is crying
Out to the world
Above me.
Now that you left me....
I couldn't figure out
How to go on with life
And I stayed right on....
With my despair.
Now that you left me....
You broke my heart,
And now it's covered in broken glass,
Oh broken glass......
It's time to ilipat on now...
But I can't help feeling the tragedy
Of that lonesome night...
How the world jeered at me.
The world hurt me.
There's no madami hope left,
So face the truth.
I am a piece of broken glass,
Shimmering in the dark and dreary night
My puso broke
When it felt like the end of the world...
And boy, was it the end of the world.
I was broken glass,
And nobody seemed to care about me.
I am broken glass.
I am heartbroken.
I am...
No more.
My soul is crying
Out to the world
Above me.
Now that you left me....
I couldn't figure out
How to go on with life
And I stayed right on....
With my despair.
Now that you left me....

So here i am
stuck inside this house
im wondering if i
will ever make it out
now point wondering
if there isnt an answer
just try to belive
here we are
stuck in this house
back where we started
we wont ever make it out
just here to ask
even if there is no reply
if you believe
you turn to me
you say it slow
your voice is deep
"how do we know,"
i shrugg my shoulders
you reply
"I believe in you and i"
then i know
without a doubt
that these four walls
can keep up trapped
but you will always
pag-ibig me
even if you are
a stuffed monkey
stuck inside this house
im wondering if i
will ever make it out
now point wondering
if there isnt an answer
just try to belive
here we are
stuck in this house
back where we started

just here to ask
