Chapter Six

EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. JUST MAKE THE BEST OF IT. -Erica

The things going through my mind that araw were not pleasant ones. They were mainly flashbacks. Flashbacks from ancient times but t felt lie it was not very long ago. The first one was madami of a modern medieval setting. There were towering stone buildings and cobblestone streets. The night sky made the scene even madami melancholy with its dreadful grey skies and cold rain. It was the perfect scene for a battle. A lofty man wearing a lengthy cost which was covered in bright jewels and beautiful pearls. His golden crown radiated power which was probably what he wanted. He strolled down the kalye followed sa pamamagitan ng frail women holding his magsuot ng bata of the ground. They could barely hold it. Their skinny arms almost collapsing under the weight of the extravagant coat.
The man smiled at each dead person he passed. Some madami women appeared behind him. They quickly threw the bodies out to sea which was located right beside them. "Now this city will feel the power of Nicolai, their extreme ruler." He grinned deviously at the sight of the battle scene.
"Wake up," demanded Carrie. She splashed my face with. Ore cold water. I started regaining my consciousness but the demon wishing still had madami for me to witness. "Okay, lets get her to the hospital."
The susunod flashback was of Nicolai sitting at his trono while a young man sat susunod to him. Nicolai showed some compassion for the young man but his voice was rough as stones. "My dear Boris," sinabi Nicolai. "Soon this tragic kingdom will be yours. If you are anything like me, you would restore it to its original structure and then fill it with people who fear you."
"Yes, father," sinabi young Boris has he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"Why squirm my boy?" An old women appeared susunod to him with his usual afternoon drink. "I bet you are trying to poison me." Nicolai boomed with laughter at the stun look upon Boris' face. He took one sip of the liquid and Nicolai rolled out his seat.
The old women smiled cruelly at the dead king. "You fool of a king. He didn't try to poison you, I did." The old women ripped her wig off to unveil her glossy blonde hair. "Guards, the young prince has poisoned his father. Attack." Buff guards marched towards Boris. They gripped his thin shoulders and led him to the prison where he would rot forever.
"You traitor guards!" yelled Boris as he was whisk away to he dungeon.
"This is a new era," sinabi the woman. "The era of China." The woman smiled as the peasants quickly out signs up with her name on them. The era of China lasted for a long time. It is still alive today.
A tan doctor stood over me. "The pain killers are wearing off. A you done yet?" There was a sign of urgent in his voice. I just noticed his colleague who stood on the other side of me.
"I am afraid not, sir," sinabi the colleague. "We can call nurse Tanner and make him bring some more. If she wakes up in the middle of this surgery, we might have a lawsuit on out hands."
The tan doctor called up the nurse and he sprinted in with a needle and injected it into my arm. I must have blacked out.
The last flashback I had was located into this what seemed like a cloud. In fact, it was a cloud. A storm ulap to be exact. There were thousands of of transparent people floating around the cloud. It was grey everywhere and not a large cloud. They could barely ilipat around without bumping into each other. "The great king Baki has arrived. The storm could pulled apart into nothingness and the people plummeted into another storm cloud. This one was much bigger. Tiny droplets of water decorated it.
The people which I believe are souls fell gracefully around the ulap but not coming anywhere near King Baki. King Baki sat to the edge do the ulap leaving the middle area wide open. "Attention you worthless ghost, my kingdom has been built. We all know what this means now." The souls of Nicolai, his son Boris, and the women who over threw them both appeared before the king. They bowed in respect. "I need madami power. Soon I will rule both The Grey Realm and the Human Realm too. Those are my future plans. I have gathered you here today to witness history. I will merge myself with the most powerful souls in the Grey Realm. Meet Nicolai."
"I am Nicolai and I over threw everyone. I conquered and defeated all of my enemies. But sadly, I was overthrown sa pamamagitan ng Sylvia." Nicolai faced King Baki as he told his story.
      "Meet Boris," sinabi King Baki.
"I am Boris, son of Nicolai. I have done nothing of the lengths of my father but after being imprisoned sa pamamagitan ng Sylvia I grew in strength and intelligence until I was able to kill Sylvia myself. I died of old age." Boris had a smug expression on his face when he mention the killing of Sylvia.
      "Meet Sylvia," sinabi King Baki.
Sylvia stood much taller then Nicolai and Boris. "I am Sylvia and I created China. I have killed many with pleasure and unfortunately I was killed sa pamamagitan ng Boris. I have conquered thousand of lands and have planted many of subjects on many of the worlds land."
"I will merge my strengths with theirs and we will soon rule every realm in existence." Cheers erupted between the souls. Many were forced and others stood still. "Let's begin the merging process. After this, you miserable subjects will call my new form The One. Let's begin."
"Honey, I think she is awake." sinabi my mother.

I just stand there. Locking my eyes with the red eyes. Somethings telling me to look away. But I cant. I cant take my eyes off of the red eyes. "Luke I say." My head starts to hurt really bad. "Luke!! I yell." No answer. I close my eyes. Voices echoing in my head. I turn around and open my eyes. Luke wasn't laying there. What the hell? My name is Alice. I'm eleven years young. My life has been all... mga kabayong may sungay until this year. It's sort of like all the fun has been cut off from my life. Like adults and other people alike all want me to have a short childhood. It's strange, because it seems as if everyone else is having loads of excitement in their lives. But I'm the only one who is at home, trying not to cut myself everyday because of all the stress in my life. It's difficult not to, and I haven't spoke to anyone so far. I don't want to be sent...

VERONICA
Carter’s Perspective

As I’m walking with the pack, I instantly realize there is a clear leader. Veronica. She was madami than your average coyote. She actually had reddish-brown balahibo instead of the generic gray-brown. She still had the piercing yellow eyes that coyotes are known for, but hers made you feel like she was staring straight into your soul… She made it clear she was the leader, too. She in fact came straight up to me and told me, “Hey! Newbie. I’m the leader of this pack, okay? Ain’t ever gonna become some fancy-shmancy leader.”
It was pretty clear if you ask me....

The susunod room Ember visited was to her a Heaven on Earth. An enormous room just for holding books! The ceiling was so high it would have taken ten of her standing on tuktok of one another the reach it. The shelves and shelves of books were piled right up to the tuktok and there were several ladders placed conveniently so that she could reach the topmost books.
Ember walked round the room as though she were in a dream. She loved pagbaba and devoured every book she found but she had never had a whole aklatan full of them to herself. She barely knew where to start. Every square inch of...

Gerald wrinkled his nose at the earthy, mossy smell that always filled the woods. He longed to get back to his palace, but there was work to be done, and a king must do his work, after all.
“Hurry up!” he shouted at the coal black horses dragging the carriage. They bolted and took off.
Gerald leaned back against the soft, silky back of the upuan and watched the trees blur by.
How grateful he was that he didn’t live out here, with all the faerie and elves and goblins. No, goblins lived in the marshes, didn’t they? But the faerie-folk, elves…still out here. He could feel them watching...

In the deep dark woods lies a house. A cottage house that only has one inhabitant. The one inhabitant onle has one visitor every month.

It was wintertime when that one visitor made his last visit.

Sherman E. Collins was his name and snooping was his name. The bald, chubby man knocked on the rotted wood. He waited for a good 2 minutos but nothing happened. When he was just about to knock again, the door creaked open. He shrugged it off. It was a common thing in these abandon houses.

Clutching his clipboard, he made his wasy into the house. The shattered windows, yellowing photos, and missing floor...

Chapter one
June 6, 1994, my birth. My mother never meant to have me. Never did. My father's condom apparently broke so they were stuck with me. A babygirl. I had short brown hair with amber eyes. But when I was born, I had blue with a light brown lining around my pupil. The doctors never could figure that part out. My eyes changed quicker than most babies. My eyes changed a week earlier than they were supposed to. That's why I get picked on, I tell that story and no one believes me. They call me "Weirdo", "fake", etc.
Though my mother left and my father is a total drunk,...

I. The Nursery

Ember lived in her nursery for the susunod few months, only being let out occasionally to go to the toilet. All she saw were the four walls around her but it wasn’t all bad.
The room was painted a pretty sky-blue and the carpet was thick, fluffy and a deep midnight blue. There was a kama and a huge white wardrobe with the most beautiful, makaluma clothes inside.
Rich velvets cloaks, soft balahibo stoles, bright silk dresses, every item of clothing needed to make a young lady of society look beautiful.
But Ember was not a young lady of society living in Victorian times. She was a...

Chapter 7: You Can't Trust Anyone These Days

James Knight slumped in his chair. It seemed like the most appropriate thing to do in this situation. How else was he suppose to act? He was a train wreck waiting to happen. He didn't bother combing his dirty blonde hair or wear decent clothes. He still had on his Lakers panglamig and faded blue jeans with holes ripped in the front. This was the kind of outfit he wouldn't dare where around the house if this was a regular day. For shoes, he had his scuffed, black Reeboks. His eyes were red and puffy but he still radiated that devilish charm...

“Craig! Get up! We’re going to be late!“ My sister Rachel pounded her fist on my door. I reluctantly opened my eyes to look at the clock. I had only ten minutos to get ready. I cursed under my breath and got dressed quickly, not bothering to grab anything to eat. I got to Rachel’s car just before she was about to ditch me. I tried to catch up on my algebra homework on the car ride to school.

“You really should’ve done that yesterday,“ Rachel scolded me. “You’re failing as it is.“ Of course, little miss perfect always had to tell me what I was doing wrong, even if she was...
