Chapter One: A Big Difference Between Normal and Reality
"Well, maybe if you didn't yell so much then I would try to listen to you!" I gave Christina a dangerous stare that sometimes made her back off but not today. Today she had one too many to drink and decided to stand her ground. She knew what I was capable of but still she remained focus on me. "Then you think you could just stand here and pretend you actually pag-ibig my father!"
Her bright grey eyes gleamed a little, almost like she was hurt sa pamamagitan ng what I said. "I do pag-ibig him but you are too conceited to realize the truth. All you do is think about yourself. Just because I don't fit the image of a perfect mother doesn't mean you have to be insolent!" The only thing that kept me from slapping her was the doorbell.
Without taking my eyes off of her, I opened the door. Standing out the door was my dad, Byron Armstrong with his dirty blonde hair and dark brown eyes. Seeing him made me forget all about my debacle with Christina, his wife. My dad had to be the coolest father alive. It wasn't because he was an international counter spy/hacker or because he treated me like an adult while still treating me like a kid I was. I had him in a madala hug before he could even mutter hello. "Okay kido, we better get going if we plan on beating traffic."
"Okay, I just have to get the rest of my stuff." I rushed up the steps of our apartment or Christina's apartment. Dad and I are moving closer to the border of Canada. Christina sinabi her parents had paid the rent for another 3 months so she was going to stay until it was time.
I had already had my suitcase filled with clothes, notebooks, and anything else I would need. My gadgets were in my book bag. I got my suitcase, my book bag, and my phone and rushed out the door. I kept my eyes looking straight just in case dad was making out with Christina. That is something I do not want to witness this early in the morning. "Come on dad, we have a long way to go. Brookhaven Prep won't wait on us."
With he last tug I was able to get him through the door and out of the arms of Christina. Outside waiting for us was the private jet he had bought just for this. The fast movement of the jet's wings sped my red hair out of control. It was insanely awesome. I couldn't stop the cheesy grin that as on my face. "Come on in," Dad stepped inside where our luxury suite was. We each took a upuan side sa pamamagitan ng side. I could still see Christina frantically waving her hand while holding a lit cigarette in the other. As we settled in the small compartment, he stared hard at me. "I know this might be spoiling you but Chadwick Academy did inform me that you had gotten your multipurpose license a few months go. Do you want to test them?"
Disbelief came over me, "Yeah I do," I sinabi as we went to the control room where the driver was already out of the seat.
We immediately settled into our new positions. Dad sat at the passenger's upuan while I was in the driver's seat. It was so exciting to be behind the wheel again. Back at Chadwick Academy Disciplinary School for Delinquents it was mandatory for all us to have our license in this field. I was the first o receive mine. In our honor, the school had a huge celebration bash for everyone who had received their license. They even let some of us stir the plane. I was really going to miss that
After an oras of flying I resigned and joined my dad in the compartment. His was drinking green tsaa and staring out the window. Those dark brown eyes was staring intensely out of the window. Whatever as out there sure had his attention. "What's wrong?"
It took him a moment but eventually he rested his eyes in me. "Nothing, how was flying?"
That nothing wasn't very believable but for his sake I let it go. He was graying sa pamamagitan ng the minute. His shaggy blonde hair is now was not slowly turning grey around the edges. It frightened me to think of my dad as an old man. It just seemed impossible. "Excellent, I haven't Nawawala any of my skills."
"I could see that," he joked. "What do you think about Brookhaven Prep? Are you sure you aren't mad at me?" Just a buwan nakaraan my dad was employed at Brookhaven Prep for Young Adult. It is one of the most elite schools in the world. The best spies have trained there and soon became legends. Everyone at Chadwick Academy awed at my fortune. I could now go to the one of the most elite school for free because my dad, Byron Armstrong, works there. To me, it seemed that all of my fortune was because of my dad. Everything that I have received in life was because my dad.
