“Are you okay?!” I asked as I rushed to Zaria and Iris.
“Somewhat,” Iris sinabi giving me a shaky smile, while Zaria replied. “Define okay.”
I helped them out of the water, they were soaked, and kept on slipping. Which led me to fall into the water.
“Sorry,” Iris said, looking at my now wet clothes sorrowfully.
“It’s okay let’s just get out of here.” I said, pulling them toward the ground.
“Wait!” Zaria exclaimed, swimming towards something…was that a book?
Iris and I watched as she snatched the book and swam back to us, I shrugged and then helped towed them toward the edge. Stilere was there and helped us all.
“That was crazy, you guys are soaked! Thank God your okay,” she sinabi hugging us as we reached the safely to the shore.
“It was so bizarre,” Iris sinabi softly, looking at the waters. “The lightning hit right where the book came, and then the book appeared, and when we held onto it…the storm just…”
“Stopped.” Zaria said, studying the book.
“You may just be tired,” Stilere reasoned.
“We can talk about this later.” I said, stopping a fight. “But right now we need to get out of here, and find our way home, we missed the bus.”
“If we missed the bus then how can we get home?” Stilere asked.
“I can call my mom,” Iris offered, “she’ll understand.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Zaria said. “Come on, let’s go find the others.”
“Still in the cave, wanted to make sure the coast was clear.” I sinabi as we made our way.
As soon as we entered screams filled the cave, the girls were jumping up and down and the guys were trying to look manly but showed that they were extremely relieved.
“We thought you were goners!” Edith shrieked. “It was a miracle we made it here in time!”
“Okay, girly squeals that will forever damage our hearing later, getting out of here safely and quickly, now.” I say, and everyone nods feverishly in agreement.
“How about we take the bus?” Darren cuts in. “I saw one on our way here.”
“But calling her mom means no money,” Stilere informed.
“Oh my gosh! My parents are going to kill me!” Terry bellows, covering her face with her hands. “The school’s gonna kill us! Did they even know were gone?”
“We can’t be sure,” Zaria says. “There’s nine of us here, maybe?”
“Let’s just get out of here before something else unwanted and walang tiyak na layunin comes,” Abe grumbles, brushing his dark hair from his eyes.
“I agree,” Brooklyn pipes up, her accent making her sound madami hysterical.
“Then let’s go!” Mikey yells, dragging us out of there.
_A few agonizing minutos later_
The school had noticed our diassapearance, the minuto Iris called her mom she freaked and called the police. Later we learned that our dissapearnce was displayed on the news, and they demanded to know what happened.
But how could we tell them we were just lounging sa pamamagitan ng the tabing-dagat when a storm hit? I thought that was suicide, but Brooklyn did not.
She explained everything I waited for the laughter, but all we got was puzzled glances.
“Look if you don’t believe us, we can ipakita you our scars.” Edith told them, ipinapakita them an oscar worthy special effects scar she got from the storm.
The police men eyed us suspiciously. “There was no storm kids, people that lived close to that area didn’t get any ‘storm’ you described.”
“But it happened!” Abe yelled. “We didn’t make it up! It really happened!”
They shook your heads, “our guess you guys got knocked out sa pamamagitan ng a hit and run and tossed to the ocean, unless you were purposely causing harm to yourselves.”
The police men eyes our still wet closthes, they were a little dry, but an indicator that we were wet.
“Look I think something got slipped in your drink, or your playing us. But why you’d cause yourself that much pyshical harm is unlikely, so you guys were probably drugged.”
“But-”
“Let’s get ya’ll to the hospital.” The police cut us off and despite our protests put us in there cars and drove us to the hospital.
But it sure didn’t feel like it.

Well, this is a song I wrote.
I've heard it wrong
There's been a mistake
There was a time when I won and I knew it
We will go on and on and on and on
There will be no madami mistakes
For the future
We will fight through it all without complaint
We are the winners, my friend
And we'll fight through it all in the end
There's no time to lose it
Cuz we are the winners
Well, I know that it's been a great day
We've done it all
We've been the best we can be and you know it
We are the winners, my friend.
I've heard it wrong
There's been a mistake
There was a time when I won and I knew it
We will go on and on and on and on

I write what i feel and try to
make them seem so-real to
you, but all you want from me
is honesty.
as i write out the facts
you act like you don't really
care where my puso truly is.
Let me tell you where it
is, it's in the honesty of my
poetry, deep inside my puso
it's the only thing that reveals
the emotions deep down inside
my soul.
as i hold onto the emotions
that creates honest mga tula
that i write, i see you looking
at my private diaries understanding
who i want to be.
you look at me and you
seem to know what i'm
feeling as i'm revealing
to you the emotions that
comes from within my
soul.
as i hold the key to this
honest mga tula that i compose
you seem to believe every-little
detail that i have to say to you.
