I watched as the Cullen's gathered in a bilog and I sat down to wait. I watched their mouthes moving, but heard no sound come out. I wondered what they were talking about. I watched intently, trying to read their lips, but I failed.
"Are you ready,"Edward asked as he turned back to me.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
I couldn't wait to see what was myth and what was true.
"First Emmett and Rosalie, they will demonstrate our strength and how impenetrable we are. Only vampire teeth and werewolf teeth can cut through our skin."
Edward sat down beside me. Werewolf teeth? mga asong lobo exist? That was neat and it made sense, but then that would mean that they were enemies, are there any that live near here? Probably not.
I pulled myself back to the outside world in time to see a rock, three times Emmett's size being thrown at Rosalie. I felt my eyes widen as fear for the blond beauty announced itself. Why didn't she move?
Then it collided, but instead of squashing her, it actually shattered and she was left unharmed.
"Wow,"I murmured, my eyes getting bigger.
"Now Carlisle will ipakita you how fast we can run, he's going to lap this clearing 5 times. SO don't blink."
I watched with owl eyes as Carlisle disappeared, then reappeared about 2 segundos later much closer to us.
"You can run that fast?"
"Yes."
"What's next,"I asked aware that my voice sounded astonished.
"The senses, Esme is going to stand across the clearing from you. You are going to hold up an amount of fingers from 1 to 5 and she will say what number you are holding up. Emmett will stand behind you, facing the same direction Esme is and he will tell you what Esme said."
He nodded at Esme and both of them got into place. I stood up, just to make sure Emmett couldn't peek.
I held up 4 fingers, then Emmett sinabi 4, I gasped, then I held up 1 and again, they got it right. I repeated this notion 3, 2, 5, 5, 4, 2, 5, they got them all right. I realized my mouth was still open and quickly closed it. I realized that these abilities were totally awesome. I thought back to just before we took off for the clearing. I hadn't honestly believed Edward when he told me he could see every vein, but now I realized that they really could. Totally awesome.
"So, that's what Bampira do. What about Alice and Jasper,"I was curious as to what they would ipakita me.
"Well Alice, Jasper and I are going to demonstrate some of the gifts that all humans bring with them when they become vampires. At least that is what Carlisle believes. Carlisle brought his compassion, Esme, her ability to love, Rosalie, her beauty and Emmett brought his strength. He is stronger than the rest of us. But Jasper, Alice and I brought something special, an extra power, you could call it. Jasper can feel and change the emotional atmosphere around him. We believe that when he was human, he could sense how some one was feeling."
He nodded to Jasper and all of a sudden, I was very angry. I wanted to smash someone's head in. Just as sudden, the anger disappeared leaving calmness and serenity in it's path. I didn't want to be calm, I wanted to be excited, but I couldn't feel anything but calm.
"Did you feel that?"
"Yeah, that was really weird."
"Alice must have had some precognition. She can see the future at will, like she can see Bampira best because she is one, she can see humans okay, because she was one, and she can't see mga asong lobo because she never was one."
He nodded to Alice. She stepped pasulong and turned around. I stared at her, wondering what she was thinking.
"I am going to tell you the future. I am going to tell you the forecast. There will be a nice sunny araw on Tuesday, and there will be a thunderstorm on Friday, so we'll be able to play baseball, it will be dry up here, it will go around the mountains."
"Okay,"I said, looking up at the cloudy sky.
"Would you like to watch,"Edward asked.
I shifted my position, so I was facing him.
"That would be cool."
"But on Tuesday, I'm going to take you to a clearing and I want to ipakita you something else about being a vampire that I can't ipakita you now."
What couldn't he ipakita me now? Maybe it was about the sun.
"And I can read minds, Carlisle thinks it's because when I was human, I was sensitive to the thoughts around me."
I gasped.
"Did you ever listen to my thoughts? I mean on the way here especially,"I practically shouted, I was angry and embarrassed.
He looked at the ground.
"Yes, I know what you did, but I think your right, and if you were a vampire, I have a feeling you'd have a power, I'm truly sorry, I just wanted to know you. I understand if you don't like me anymore and if your mad, you can still stay here, I'll just go somewhere else,"the pain on his downturned expression was even madami prominent in his voice. So he knew. He knew I killed someone. This was the final straw that broke the camel's back. He knew everything and he wasn't mad, but I was. My privacy had been invaded.
I glared at him before I took off. I just had to get away from him. He wouldn't dare follow me, even if he was a vampire, if he knew what was good for him.
I can't believe it. He knows my deepest, darkest secret and he's okay with it? How can he be okay with a murderer?
I needed to stop thinking, he was probably listening right now, so I let the forest scene take over my mind. I broke through the trees and into the door, the sun was setting, so it was probably around 7 o'clock, but I didn't care. I leaped onto the kama and cried myself to sleep.
