*Edward’s pov*

I went out the room.
I went downstairs.
Alice was right. There’s a stupid thing that’s waiting for me.
What the hell! It’s my chance… I didn’t even grab the opportunity.
‘Dammit. You are so stupid Edward Cullen....’ I shouted to myself.
Suddenly, I heard the doorbell. I opened the door, still annoyed sa pamamagitan ng what had happened at the room.
I looked up.
To my surprise, I saw a girl. She was as young as me. Her eyes were golden brown. Her skin was pale. Her hair was perfectly blonde. Her dimples were so cute – that reminds me of….
Ashley.
Ashley?
Ashley Walker.
No, it can’t be. Ashley was my high school best friend when I was human and… and that was almost a hundred years ago... How could that be? She must be lying under a gravestone right now.
“Ashley?” I finally managed to ask.
“Hey Edward, I’m glad that you still remember me. How are ya?” She sinabi happily.
“No, it can’t be.” I sinabi in disbelief.
She laughed.
“No, you aren’t dreaming.” She said.
“But how - ?” I sinabi as she cut me off.
“Like you, I was a victim of the disease. But luckily, someone had bitten me.” She sinabi as she showed me her scar on the right side of her neck.
“Unbelievable. “ That’s all I can say.
“I miss you.” She sinabi as she went closer to me.
I hesitated.
“How’s your life?” she asked.
“So far, so good. How ‘bout you?” I sinabi smiling.
But instead of answering, she looked at me seriously. Her face was an inch away from mine as she whispered. “I miss you so much.”.
She wrapped her arms around my neck as she started to halik me.
I froze. Her arms were tight around me.
I can’t move.
I was tempted that I found myself halik her back.
‘No, no, no, no, no, why am I doing this?’ I thought. I stopped halik her back but she didn’t.
Suddenly, I heard someone sobbing. I pulled her away. I looked back.
As I turned my head, I saw my astonished, frightened and brokenhearted wife. Her eyes were terrified... She looked down, hesitated and run upstairs.
I followed her.
“Bella!” I screamed.
She ran directly to the room and locked the door.
“GO AWAY!!!!!!!!” she shouted, sobbing.
“Bella! Please, open the door.” I pleaded
I continued knocking on the door. It was then that I heard her screamed as something had been broken. I destroyed the knob and enter the room. I saw her at the side of the room as she continues to break the vases, one sa pamamagitan ng one. I ran to her rapidly and hugged her until she stops. She continued screaming and pulling me away. I know that she’s stronger than me but I did my best to stop her. Finally, she stops screaming. I let her face me. I looked at her eyes. She pulled me away quickly as she opened the closet and got her luggage. She started packing her things.
“Bella, you don’t understand.” I sinabi as I put her dresses off from the luggage.
“Go away! Go away! Go away, Edward! Leave me alone!” She shouted as she continues to sob tearlessly.
“Listen to me Bella, I’ll explain!” I said, begging.
“I don’t need explanation. I’m not blind Edward!” she said, loudly.
“Please.” I whispered.
She ignored me as she put the dresses back. She zipped the luggage and about to went out the room. I grabbed her arms and hugged her again tightly.
But she pulled me away...
She jumped out the window and then I saw her vanished.
“NOOOOOOO!!!!” I shouted loudly.
There goes my Bella.
No. What’s happening to me?
No. This was just a nightmare.
I leaned down the floor.
I looked back at the pictures hanging on the wall.
Our pictures, happily, together…
I remembered the things that we bought together.
The songs that we sang together.
The laughter and the sorrows that we share together.
All gone.
I went out to find Ashley. I’m ready to kill her. But no one was outside. I’m all alone.
From the darkness, I saw my family as they went out one sa pamamagitan ng one.
Alice went directly at my side.
“Its okay, Edward.” She sinabi sadly. Her thoughts were about Bella.
“No its not.” I sinabi as I entered the house.
Everyone followed me.
I leaned down the pader and sat on the stairs.
Emmett and Rosalie sat at the crouch and looked at me. Jasper was doing everything to calm me down. Alice felt sorry about what happened. Esme was watching me as I broke my puso into pieces. Carlisle was comforting me in his thoughts.
I shut my eyes tightly...
‘I should have known that this would happen. I’m sorry.’ Alice thought.
“Don’t blame yourself Alice. It’s not your fault. Its mine.” I sinabi as I looked at her, worriedly.
She shook her head and leaned down on Jasper’s shoulder.
“I guess it’s better if you go tahanan with us first, so you can calm down and feel better. You’re all alone here.” Esme said.
I didn’t respond.
Finally, I looked at her.
“What’s the point? Let me suffer. My life is worthless now…, now that she left me.” I said.
“Esme’s right, Edward.” Carlisle said.
I can’t argue anymore, all of them were at Esme’s side.
We went home. I entered my room and sat at the couch.
What now?
Am I going to Italy again and provoke the Volturi to kill me?
I deserve to die.
