I did like the fact that in Breaking Dawn we saw more of the other vampires, and there were vampires from all around the world, and that we found out about Bella's shield, but I disliked the majority of the rest of it. If those two elements could have gone into the first three books (maybe by cutting down on the amount of times Bella refers to Edward as Adonis) then a trilogy would have been great.

It'd be great to erase Breaking Dawn from the history of Twilight in general. But oh well. I think a trilogy would've been fine - let the fans decide what happens next. Just leave it at knowing Bella will become a vampire or something. No magical baby, no "confrontation", no breezing by the newborn stage like Bella did. Like have an epilogue at a time where Bella has been a vampire for a while.

I think Meyer really should have at least gotten us familiar with the other covens in the first three books. Besides Peter and Charlotte, the Denali coven. We don't even have to meet them - just mention them, let the Cullens tell Bella about all the other vampire covens spread across the globe. Tell her a horror story: the immortal children and the children of the moon. Breaking Dawn was just too rosy and not like the others.

There were certain parts of Breaking Dawn that I loved, they're just overlooked by other things (imprinting, Bella's shield etc.). I didn't like Eclipse. There were so many things in that book that made me want to drop the series altogether because Stephenie just took the littlest things way too far. It needed to be evened out, especially the ending. Though, the ending of BD isn't much better.

I honestly would have preferred it if she had of just stuck to Twilight and written Forever Dawn. New Moon and Eclipse just seemed to be her attempt at dragging the series out further.
