If someone else kissed the person you love forcelly, without that person's consent, I think everyone would be mad, not just Edward.
What he did wasn't very different from what Royce did to Rosalie. know raping is different from kissing, but I would feel violated if someone kissed me like that. If a friend of mine, even if I loved him, kissed me like Jacob did I would consider a betrayal of the trust I put in him. I do know that Bella loved him, but still, I think he disrespected her.
That's my opinion.

I love Jacob and Jacob/Bella but what Jacob did was wrong. I do think he had good motivations, he was trying to make Bella realise her feelings for him so she would see she had another choice. She didn't have to become a vampire that Jacob may have been required to KILL if the situation arose. But still, it doesn't excuse his behaviour.

However I completely disagree with EmilyWeasley. There is a HUGE difference between one forced kiss and rape. You wouldn't be scared to go out alone, or stay at your own house alone, because of one unwanted kiss. They are totally incomparable and comparing them make light of the seriousness of rape.

Well, first off. It's not the same as in the book. I kind of like Edward growing some balls and stepping up to the plate and defending Bella.

HOWEVER, in the book, I actually thought it was much more chilling. For Edward to be so calm, yet so forceful in his tone. "I will break your jaw for it."

It's hard to answer this question because not everything is from the book. First: Obviously, Edward didn't give that reaction. Second: Jacob was NOT remorseful. He was cocky and being a jerk. Third: Bella wasn't like that. She wanted Edward to pound Jacob. Of course, in the book, Edward didn't. "You'd regret it in the morning."

In the movie, Edward is mad because Jacob kissed Bella against her will. In the book, Edward wasn't just mad because Jacob kissed her, but he was also mad because Bella hurt herself in the process of defending herself. I wish they had some implication or a line in here that Edward was also concerned for her safety.

But, I think Edward had EVERY RIGHT to be angry. However, in the book, it was very chilling and threatening. But this way works too.

yeah i don't blame Edward at all he wasn't just mad about the kiss but also Bella's arm...If Jake was Bella's boyfriend/fiance he probably would have acted just the same or maybe worse with his anger.

Jacob had no right to do that, AT ALL. If he loved Bella, he should have given her some goddamn space. Telling her he loved is fine, but the moment he FORCED something on her is completely different. Like was mentioned above, its only a couple steps behind what Royce did Rose. It was at that point I lost any and all respect I had for Jacob. Edward handled it perfectly.
