The live-action/CGI Alvin and the Chipmunks film franchise is an adaptation of Ross Bagdasarian's Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. Ross Bagdasarian's son, Ross Bagdasarian Jr., and his wife, Janice Karman, worked on the films. There were four films in the franchise: 2007's Alvin and the Chipmunks (directed sa pamamagitan ng Tim Hill), 2009's Squeakquel (directed sa pamamagitan ng Betty Thomas), 2011's Chipwrecked (directed sa pamamagitan ng Mike Mitchell) and 2015's The Road Chip (directed sa pamamagitan ng Walt Becker).
