Last summer I went to Los Angeles to stay with my cousin for a few weeks. One afternoon we were having lunch in a nice restaurant in the centre of the town when my cousin got a call on her mobile phone and went outside to talk. While she was speaking to her friend,I suddenly noticed a man in a black hat who was sitting at the susunod table. It was the actor Johnny Depp!He was alone, and I decided to take my chance. So I got up and went to his table:'Excuse me,could I have my litrato taken with you?'I asked. He sinabi yes,so I stopped a waitress who was passing sa pamamagitan ng and gave her my camera. She took the litrato of me and Johnny,I thanked them both, and then I returned to my table. When my cousin came back,I smiled.'Why are you looking so pleased with yourself?'she asked.
'I had my litrato taken with Johnny Depp.'
'Johnny Depp?Where is he?'
'He's sitting over there.Look!'
She turned around to look and then started to laugh.
'That's not Johnny Depp!'I looked at the man in the black hat-he was laughing too.
Not long nakaraan people believed that in the future we would work less, have madami free time, and be madami relaxed. But sadly this has not happened.Today we work harder, work longer hours, and are madami stressed than 10 years ago.We walk faster, talk faster, and sleep less than nakaraan generations. And although we are obsessed with machines which save us time,we have less free time than our parents and grandparents had.But what is this doing to our health? An American journalist James Gleick in a new book,Faster:the acceleration of just about everything, says that people who live in cities are suffering from...

Prologue

The sun is just minutos from rising and the night is growing lighter. An alter made entirely of blue marble, jade, and amethyst is illuminated. Two tiny mga sanggol lie on tuktok writhing and screaming in discomfort. They are naked, only a few days old and the chill of the stone slowly seeping into their Buto will surely kill them. The larger of the two will not stop screaming while her twin just sobs quietly.
Their frail mother stands a few feet away determined to finish what she came here to do but her eyes are bloodshot and red raw from her constant tears. But she is not alone. Her husband...

Lisa Tyler was weary after a long, hard araw at the pottery factory where she works. But as she approached her tahanan in the English city of Stoke-on-Trent,her puso lightened:soon she would be having a nice cup of tea, putting her feet up and watching Friends, her favourite TV series. But first, she needed to change out of her work clothes and pick up her 3-year-old son from his grandmother's house nearby.

As Lisa walked up her garden path, she noticed a light flashing on and off in an upstairs bedroom.A shiver went down her back. What if it was a burglar?Quietly, she crept round to the back of the house...

As I was thinking of experienes that changed my life, my mind automatically went back to my time at St. Anthony. I skimmed throught the years starting with eigth grade, thinking that was where I would find a significant event since it was where I have my most kamakailan memories. To my surprise, I found nothing. I moved on to younger grade levels, still finding little....

I woke up to the door being shut. I sat up quickly and stared at the girls. “Oh hi,” I said. “Thought you were someone else for a segundo there,” I sinabi with a slight laugh.
“Sorry,” Hailie sinabi as she came and sat sa pamamagitan ng me.
“Don’t worry about that,” I sinabi patting her on the head, she looked at me funny but I don’t think she mined my pattingness. “Anybody have homework?” I asked looking at both of the girls. Laney just nodded and walked towards the kusina without saying a word, I thought that was a bit strange but I guess that’s just the way she is. I sat there for a...

This is a song inspired sa pamamagitan ng Anastasia's Once Upon a December. Also, it's the main song for my novel-in-progress, Imaginary. It's a song in which one of the main characters sings to cheer her up when she's scared. And once I finally get the story posted here, you'll actually see the depth and power and horror of the song.
Written sa pamamagitan ng a friend of mine from school.

Midnight settles, darkness falls
Close your eyes and remember
Fallen mga kerubin always sing
Once upon a December

Blood is flowing and it's warm,
Life's nightmares are like a storm
Demons dancing gracefully
across my memory

Broken mga paru-paro with torn wings
The pain they will always remember
Fallen angels, I hear them sing
Once upon a December.
