when i first read twilight, i loved it. i loved all of the books. the first mocie was good but i dont like the others at all (this is my opinion, sorry if you dont agree). i even wished people were madami like the characters in the books.

the important thing to remember is that these books are meant for entertainment. do not take ideas or payo from this book. you dont realize it, but at least 2 types of abuse happen in this book. edward is considered controlling and a stalker. jake is considered a sexual abuser and a petaphile. bella is considered a klutz, idiot, and a needy person. these books were written to tell a story of unconventioal pag-ibig and the obstacles along the way. if you look at any book you will find something wrong (abuse, drugs), but people focus on this book because of it's popularity. most of the young adult books i read have one or madami of the same things, but that is not important because my books arent as famous. no book is perfect. unless you can write a book that everyone on the whole entire planet likes, i dont feel like you have a right to judge. if you feel like you can do better, go for it. i tried and failed in the same week (day). you can look at any movie and see much worse. the main thing is do not get caught up in it. if somebody sneeks into your house to watch you sleep, you should probably call the police. if somebody kisses you against your will, go ahead and manuntok them. it is okay to like the books. just dont go looking for stuff to be wrong, and dont go stalk people or force your self on them because it happened in a book.

 A relationship of equals
A relationship of equals
I sat with my sister one day, watching Lord of the Rings, when this came to me.

I had just gotten into a heated pagtatalo with one of my friends. When I gave my calm, simple, honest opinion about Twilight, she started yelling at me, telling me, "You just don't understand Kassie, you just don't understand. You just don't know..." and so on and I wanted to matunog na halik her.

Well, as we watched the Fellowship of the Ring, I realized that Aragorn did the same thing as Edward in New Moon.

Now, before any Aragorn mga manliligaw out there start yelling at me, let me explain!

I realized I didn't hate Aragorn for leaving...

It seems that nowadays when people mention the words ‘Twilight’, ‘Edward’ or ‘Stephenie Meyer’ a huge pagtatalo is formed. People are split completely down the middle with their pag-ibig or hate of the twilight saga, everything seen as either black or white. So here is an opinion from one of the few stuck within the grey area (like, dislike and don’t care either way). Rip this opinion to shreds, pag-ibig it or hate it. Tell the world how much twilight rocks, sucks or takes the complete piss out of teenage romance. But please remember this is my opinion and seeing as this place is all about...

I've seen yet another comment saying people who thought the Edward/Bella relationship was abusive have either not read the book or have simply 'misunderstood' it, and am completely losing my ability to politely respond when I hear that, so I'm Pagsulat this so in future I don't even have to respond, I can link to here and avoid the risk of snapping and going on an all sombrero rant. I'm pointing out at the start that I'm not accusing all Twilighters of this, there are lots of Twilight fans on the spot who are able to give their opinion in a pleasant, grown up way, and I really appreciate that (virtual...
