Disney Princess Article: Why isn't Giselle a Disney Princess?

Alright this is madami of a rant than anything because "Enchanted" is one of my paborito pelikula and I cannot believe she isn't in the line up or is thought of as a Disney Princess. And I know the movie is making fun of the stereotypical princess when she meets the real world but there are so many allusions to the movie, especially The Little Mermaid in a lot of them. BUT ANYWHO let's get started.
The usual reason Disney deems a character a Disney Princess is usually because they are the heroine of the movie and have a few musical numbers where sinabi heroine sings in. They also are very beautiful and set up as an icon where young girls can see them as role mga model and then the corporate part of Disney can market it. They make dresses for little girls, backpacks/lunchboxes with their faces on them, and toys they'll pag-ibig for a little less than a buwan and then buy a new product. You guys get it.
Where Giselle comes in is she fits nearly all of these categories and more! The only thing she doesn't fit is being an princess. And I don't want to say it (ok I really do) BUT HELLO NEITHER IS MULAN. I'm just sayin'. And Merida breaks nearly ALL rules as to being a "Disney" princess (No pag-ibig interest, no musical numbers, being a product of PIXAR). I see no reason why Giselle shouldn't be in the lineup. And besides Disney DID market her stuff at one point. They had Giselle dresses and "Enchanted" jammies with "How Does She Know" blasting in the back. She was even in the lineup on the Disney Princess website for some time.... So... what happened?
Can someone please explain to me this madness because I understand that there are other princesses/ demigod's girlfriend that deserve to be in the lineup but aren't due to the fact that Disney can be a thorn.

dee389 Have you actually been living under a rock? The reason why she is not in the lineup is because they realise that they have to pay Amy Adams for using her likeness.

AnotherHepburn That's not exactly a valid argument because they've used many of the voice actresses as models for the characters. And by the way you don't have to be so rude to a complete stranger. It's not necessary to make a comment and be mean about it.

JungleQueen13 ^I think it's got to do with the fact that Amy Adams actually played the character in the film though, so she wasn't just a model for Giselle. I don't really understand how that works, but it sounds as though that's the only thing stopping her from being an official Disney Princess.

MacytheStrange ^Yeah, apparently they wanted to add her to the line-up, but were told they'd have to pay her royalties. So there isn't anything anyone can really do, as much as she deserves to be a DP. Not trying to be mean or anything, but your might want to research something before you write an article about it. :)

AnotherHepburn Ok I understood the technicalities concerning the actual reason behind why she isn't part if the lineup. But what I was saying was Giselle had made it to the lineup. She was there on the website, she had a line of products and a list of musical numbers that made her very much worthy of being a princess. In this sense I think she is qualified to be in the lineup despite what Disney executives think concerning money. I see no problem in people on fanpop or tumblr considering her a princess which was one of the suggestions I made in the article.

MacytheStrange ^^Oh, neither do I. But it just seemed like you were berating Disney for not including her, when Disney doesn't have much say in the matter. I think it's cool if the fan-base wants to honorarily add deserving Disney heroines to the line up, albeit unofficially. :)

Mongoose09 you can't really use Mulan as an excuse for why they should add Giselle though... Mulan is added for diversity and while Merida doesn't act like a typical Princess, she was still born one (basically I doubt she would have been added if she was a normal girl). also the Amy Adam's likeness as already mentioned above, which is arguably the biggest reason for why she's not included.

My Favourite Names of the Disney Princesses

Bonjour! I decided to create an artikulo that showed my opinion on the Disney Princesses' names. Names are things that I find interest in, and I haven't seen many artikulo likes these, so I thought I would have a go. I'm also adding the French version if there is one, just because I felt like it and I pag-ibig French. The pictures are there for no real reason, just as a visual break from all of the writing. Feel free to disagree with my opinions of course.

Cinderella's actual name is never mentioned in the film

Why I've Grown To pag-ibig Merida

At the moment I'm really obsessed with Merida. She's an absolutely phenomenal character whom I can't believe I haven't always loved, but it really bothers me how almost no one sees her the way I do. Not that there aren't Merida fans, there are quite a lot, but they, as a whole, seem to like her madami for the trope she represents; strong, a fighter, doesn't need a man, etc. whilst that couldn't be further from the reason I pag-ibig her.
