Doesn't anyone else get annoyed when main or interesting movie characters get stupified with drug use?

To me it's like the actors, producers, writers etc. are all supporting the habbit of smoking, driving under the influence of alcohol and especially drug use!!! I'm not trying to sound like some Mary-Sue but that stuff is NOT cool!!! There are young kids every picking up these bad habbits and where do ya think they get it from?? People have died in car accidents from being under the influence of alcohol and pot!!! I've Nawawala ppl I pag-ibig to these habbits!!! I hate how ppl make characters do pot in movies, it's not funny it's just stupid!!!

At the end of the day, it's a movie. There will be horror, romance, comedy etc...
And it just so happens that the audience find someone who's incoherent hilarous. If it's prior to the story of the movie, why not?

Drug use in pelikula is not the same as being a killer in a movie!!! pelikula that have involved drug use have absolutely nothing to do with the plot!!! For example in the movie Youth in Revolt the main character never did any drugs until he was offered which made him look stupid rather than hilarious!!! There is nothing funny about drugs at all, like I sinabi in the details of my tanong I've Nawawala ppl to this crap!!! And yah it's just a movie but I don't really like going into a film to watch a character get high!!!

Ok, I'm truly sorry if I have offended you, I really am. And trust me, I can totally see were your point is comming from. I just think that if a movie has drugs in it, it's for a reason and goes with the storyline.

But smoking is becoming less common in movies. If you look at pelikula from the 60's,70's and 80's someone usually has a cigarette in their mouth. Even a cigarette can do enough damage on its own. I have been through so many medical classes. I was majoring in nursing. I have seen the lungs of a smoker who died of lung cancer. BAD. Black, Black,Black. lunok tar. And Emphezima causes your air sacs to go out and never come back in. So its like you exhale permanently. Anyway yes I agree with you, drugs and such should be used as little as possible teens are fickle now days, and unfortunately there are madami followers than leaders. Im 21, I tried smoking. It does relax you, but not enough to ruin your life.

i appreciate your answer, yes I've Nawawala ppl to this crap and it still hurts to think about it:( but i do agree i haven't seen much smoking in pelikula and shows these days and yet the drug use is still and issue...namely pot!!! I can't stand watching ppl do pot in pelikula and shows, looking like idiots when there really isn't a point to it and all it does is ruin lives!! But i can't agree about gore in movies, especially if its a horror movie that stuff is required whether most ppl like it or not. It not as bad as seeing a good person light up like a moron all to look cool or becuase of peer pressure. Maybe the film indusrty can't get away from this subject entirely but they need to out of most films and tv shows!!! I just think the actors portraying this don't care if young ppl hurt themselves just to be selfish and idiotic!!! So in closing i just hate potheads in film/in general and i don't think it's cool to keep putting on screen to get a few laughs!!!

also i forgot to add i don't like drug-abusers in general. smoking does cause alot of damage yes but so does pot!!! there are chemicles in that drug that make your brain go fucked, ppl shouldn't be driving while disoriented like this!! i'm not gonna say a thing about alcohol becuz that's a fruitless battle. But the drug use can be beaten, and pot can sometimes be the starting point of something bigger, i know becuz i was pulled into to this horror thanx to some close friends. sorry if i keep bringing this up. i mean i watch that Intervention ipakita alot and it just brings back awful memories:(

I have gone through alot of mental issues if it makes you feel any better. I suffer from anxiety, depression and borderline personality disorder. I have been so down that I have often thought I was better off gone. But I see a shrink and am a little better now. I like horror pelikula dont get me wrong, but the constant swearing and gore in todays horror pelikula disturbs me, like this subject matter disturbs you.
