ANYONE KNOW WHAT MOVIE THIS COULD BE????/

Alright so I really don’t rmemeber much of this film but from I do recall, it’s an 80’s film that has a family (mom, dad, son, and daughter).

The pamagat might have had the word "star" in it but I don’t remember, but what i do remember is that there is a part of the movie where a very large Troll kidnaps the parents, and puts them in a cage (like a burd cage), and the children must find a way to go and get thier parents back.

There is a svene where the Troll is going upstairs, and the stairs are really huge, and they ipakita a light that flickers, and the kids are hiding behind soem rocks, and the parents are in a cage that is hanging from the cieling while the troll is doing something at a table.

PLEASE DO HELP ME WITH THIS, it is driving me bonkers, I might just get a divorce (even thoguh I am not married but STILL!!!!!!) just for the simple fact that I cannot remember this ddamn movie.
