Should I get the toys?

I suggest you go to the store (e.g. Walmart or Target) and take a look at what's available. I like the toys, but a lot of people think they're too different from the show. It's all up to you!
The picture shows what a lot of them look like, but you can paghahanap around to find some that are a bit different.

I'd say that they're fun to have! :) Not quite perfect, perhaps, but pretty darn good, and certainly cute. They do resemble the characters quite closely--close enough for me.

I've got myself a figure of each main parang buriko (either a Hasbro doll haired-mane & tail one, or a McDonald's with doll hair-tail) on my desk, plus Celestia. (Also got a throw blanket and bedsheets, so you will find a few madami practical parang buriko items amongst the toys!)

I say yes! My husband and I are slowly collecting them and so far we have Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie. We wanted to get Twilight Sparkle, but we only wanted her if she came with Spike too (they have to go together!) and the only set that came with both was a ridiculously expensive hot air balloon set. Anyway, they are awesome and you should get them.
