Mine is Shirley from Code Geass
She has to be one of the most useless characters I have ever witnessed and she is only relevant to the plot sa pamamagitan ng getting in Lelouch's way

Agreed. Now she can heal people and her fighting skill has gotten better. If she and her younger self fought she'd win sa pamamagitan ng a landslide.

The Heroine from Amnesia is so useless... and the anime revolves around her! That's how bad it is. I mean I know she has amnesia, but she has no personality, can't think for herself, never says madami than 3 full words without saying "um" or "uh", and never completes a sentence. We'd be better and get madami out of it just watching the brick pader behind her madami than what we get out of her. Honestly, I think they could have made her not even there (have like an invisible-ghost like heroine) and the anime would have run madami interesting and smoother.

Agree so much !!! I'm watching it right now and honestly, even though it's based on an Otome Game, at least make her talk instead of constant "um"s !!! Like if you're going to make an anime based on a dating sim, at least do it right. (coughs like KnA did)

Glad you agree! I like the anime pangkalahatang and the twist at the end is interesting but it's just sad cause it could have been a lot better. There are lots of dating sims that have way better adaptions than Amnesia. Brothers Conflict is prob one of the best ones I've seen

Yurika Nijino plays the "useless" character role in Rokujyoma no Shinryakusha!? Nobody believes her when she says she's a magical girl. Every chance she gets to ipakita off her talents, something either happens to prevent it, or she ends up helping "in secret" without the other characters knowing about her contributions to the battle. So, she's not "totally" useless, but sometimes she is, and nobody knows about it when she's not.

Okay, okay, there are characters who are useless as in, they aren't needed for the plot progression of their respective series in any way, but, I get sensitive around the use of the world "useless" because it's a word I often use when describing myself. :p

It's just that some characters kinda take away from their anime (and a lot are some main characters). But I see this as a mistake in the making of the anime. ALL the anime above I think are great anime but I think they could have been even better if the animation studios would have thought a little bit madami in what the characters were doing. So I wouldn't take it the way you are, it’s just a misguidance with the storyboard and animation teams. And I guess it goes to ipakita everyone makes mistakes but really NO ONE is useless.
