In the Season 8 Episode "God Complex" What was the Plot Hole in Spencer and Maeve's Phone Call at the Beginning?

In an interview, writer Breen Fraizer sinabi that in the phone call where we first meet Maeve (which would be "God Complex") there was a "plot hole that wasn't a plot hole" that is supposed to be relevant for a future episode. I've watched that scene over and over and I don't see what it is, can anybody fill me in?
