Serious answer: They lay eggs. It only makes sense since that's what isda do and what's the bottom half of the mermaid? Fish. There must be a flap of scales concealing mermaids' cloaca (would explain how they piss too). Once she lays her eggs, the merman comes along and fertilizes them with his sperm. But, unlike fish, mga sirena breast-feed, like mammals. They have boobs after all, the whole purpose of which is to produce gatas so they must breast-feed.

I pag-ibig that we're thinking about mga sirena logically. Nothing about a mermaid is plausible or logical. The mga sirena we see in Disney do not have gills, so we're assuming they have lungs, since they have the upper bodies of humans, but that makes absolutely no sense, so their reproductive organs probably make the same amount of sense.

I first asked my mom that tanong when I was six and was promptly told to go to my room and I shouldn't be thinking such things. I guess she thought I was thinking about sex, but I wasn't. (does that even make sense?) I used to wonder how they could eat and not have to use the bathroom too. Weird. I guess they're an exception to the rules of life.

mga sirena are supposed to be a species of fish. So they would reproduce the same way isda reproduce... sa pamamagitan ng laying eggs or through live bearing.

I guess they come out of eggs. *shrugs* I'd like to think that mga sirena give birth like mammals, like whales and dolphins do. But now I think Ariel and her sisters came out of eggs like isda do.

But I will say this. Because they're half human and half fish. Humans and whales are mammal so Merfolk reproduce mga sanggol the same way we, dolphins and whales do sa pamamagitan ng live bearing.
