I sighed as I washed my hands in the girls bathroom. I really don't want to go back out there. Then again, I'm going to have to face them someday. I took a deep breath and walked outside. I fixed my jean dyaket and smoothed out my dress. The cafeteria. patong lalaki and Duncan look up at me. "Hey babe." My boyfriend says. "Hey" I sinabi and smiled at him. I sit down and glance at Duncan. He catches my glance and looks away. patong lalaki smiles and says "Courtney, this is Duncan my best friend. Duncan, this is my girlfriend Courtney." I sigh. "I know....we've met before." I say. "Really?" patong lalaki asks. "Yeah..." Duncan says and looks away. I sigh for the millionth time and look down. "Duncan and I used to date."

Duncan's POV

"She's beautiful" patong lalaki went on. "You're going to pag-ibig her. "I already do" I think to myself. Suddenly, Courtney comes out from the halls. " Speaking of her, here she is" patong lalaki says. Courtney sits down and looks at me. I look away feeling regret. patong lalaki introduces us. "Duncan and I use to date." Courtney says finally. patong lalaki looks up, eyes wide. Silence. "But that's the past. It's all good now...right Duncan?" She fakes a smile. I return it. "Yeah, man. Don't worry about it." patong lalaki smiles. "I know. It won't be a problem though. Right? Cause I can't have my girlfriend and my best friend fighting." Courtney laughs. I pag-ibig her laugh. "Babe, stop worrying.Listen, I have to go now. I'm going to look for my susunod class. Don't want to be late." "Bye." patong lalaki says and stands up to hug and halik her. I feel pissed off. But I remain controlled. I miss the old days....
