Central Park Zoo, July 19th, 1910.
We entered the required info and pressed the knob on the pocket watch. One blinding flash of light later we were in 1910. The very araw the Golden ardilya hid they key to his treasure in the time capsule.
we saw the Golden ardilya being chased sa pamamagitan ng the rats and followed suit, staying out of sight, even if we were dressed in period hats (Kristen threw her flowered lacy monstrosity of a hat in the trash)
The key fell out of the Squirrel's paw and was about to drop in the box, when Tom made a dive for it and missed. The humans probably chalked it up to a pigeon or something.
"Are you CRAZY?! " demanded Jeff
"Skipper, you could have gotten killed, or worse, exposed!" i said.
"Wait!" sinabi a voice " did you just say Skipper?"
We looked to our immediate left and saw the ardilya himself staring at us.
"Um , yes. Why?." sinabi Tom
" I know a chap very much like yourself in face and feature in the newly opened Zoo." he replied, " would you please follow me?'
We followed him to the brand spankin' new ibong dagat Habitat.
"Right this way." he said.
we each introduced ourselves. he was a bit surprised when he got to me.
"Where on earth did you get that?" he asked looking at my ginto nickel
"It was a gift from a friend. Why?"
"I have one exactly like it in my vault. An old friend of mine gave it to me as a birthday gift just yesterday. It commemorated my twentieth birthday and a new decade of possibilities. Strange. it's a new nickel but it looks as though it's a century old."
"Yeaaah, about that." i explained who we were and where we were from ( or should i say WHEN we were from?). To say the least, he was surprised. I also thought to tell him about the Sinking of TITANIC and the stare and end of WW1.
"helpful information. Come along, let's meet the chap i told you about."
Several minutos later we were in a much madami ornate Jules Verne/Steampunk version of the Penguins HQ.
"-, i was saying before, old bean. they actually ARE from the Future."
"Yes, well I'll just have to see for myself. You say his name is Skipper, as well?"
"That's correct."
In walked the voice the ardilya was talking to, and we saw a ibong dagat that looked and sounded an awful lot like Skipper.
"Hello. Name's Skipper." he said
"And yours would be?"
"Skipper." answered Tom
"If you really Are my great great grandson, then tell me, what is the name i like the best for my son when he hatches?":
"Uh.. Frederick?" he said, presumably so, for Skipper's father and HIs father before that and his, before that, were all named Frederick.
"Yes. I see now that you are the spitting image of me."
"So why have you come?" asked the Squirrel
"Just some observing. We'd best be on our way now." i said.
Now all we needed to do was go down to the sewer and find out why the rats want the treasure.
