Is Twilight Anti-Feminist?

Stephenie Meyer explicitly pointed out that "feminism" is "being able to choose." I agree with this entirely; the right to choose is important.

But the right to choose is only part of the question. When ibingiay the chance to choose, which path do we choose? Do we choose to let men into our lives and still maintain our independence, or do we choose to allow men to dominate our lives, both physically and psychologically?

In the case of Bella Swan, she chose the segundo path.

In my opinion, choosing that road is no different from choosing at all. Choices, as we all know, split into right and wrong....

Well, lately I have come across a variation of the following sentence a lot:

"Harry Potter is better than Twilight because Twilight gives a lot of bad messages"

I won't deny the message ibingiay sa pamamagitan ng Twilight is an awful one and easy to spot, but Harry Potter also has its share of bad messages, and whats worse is that it is conceived between lines. There's an extense pagtatalo among psychologist on the validity of subliminal messages, but that I will not discuss.

A lot of people ask me what my reasons are for liking Twilight. Because I am sicken of having to answer every single time, and because a couple of people told me to, I wrote an article.

Twilight changed my way of looking at things.
Sure... It's not real, but the book made me look at my opinion. My whole life would be different if it wasn't written. I'm not one of those Twilight fans who only care about how hot Robert Pattinson is. The book changed me, not the movie. The twilight serie is a wonderful life-lesson wrapped in a beautiful story. That is a main reason why those two are being compared now. Now to me I have really found this to be pointless. People are comparing a romantic fiction story to a pantasiya fiction story.

Okay, so HP and Twilight are good books and movies. But, in order to make money, companies have made some rather.....dumb (or as I say, "Kooky," because it sounds better) products.
I'm not talking about the companion books or the HP wands that actually shoot out a fog patronus at the tap of a button. The ones that I will be discussing will be listed below. I will tell the name of the project, 1-10 on the "Kookiness" (nice word, right?) scale (One meaning not kooky, 10 meaning it should be taken off the shelves). I have just watched Remember Me staring Robert Pattinson and I was blown away! Seeing him only in Twilight and Harry Potter which was only for a few moments at a time, i was not expecting much from him. I was pretty much expecting the same boring, lifelessness he gives as Edward. Was i WRONG.

He is a decent actor, I think he could go far with his actin carer. I'm not going to give anything away but in this movie Pattinson showed me that you should not base an actors pagganap on just one film.

I've seen the spot ,it fulls of fights ,and they shouldn't be existed the comparing is very harsh ,how can you compare a girl to boy , there are many differences, the girl searches for true pag-ibig and she find it ,it's a romantic story talking about Bampira ,but harry potter talks about wizards ,it has a lot adventures ,but they have something in common they are pantasiya stories then tell me how could anyone compare wizards to Bampira who drink human blood with wizards are magical people who defend their self's with magical things. Somewhere in the world right now there is a girl.

She is sitting on her kama crying because her boyfriend told her she couldn't see her good friend. He erased her e-mail from her contacts, he keeps them apart in school hallways and classes and he took her drivers liscence so she can't drive to her house. Her boyfriend is always with her. They are barely seen apart if they can be together, often alone. He decides where she goes and the only compliments he ever tells her is "your beautiful", "you're a clutz".

To write Twilight, to pass that (above) off as pag-ibig is unfair to that one girl who is sitting on her bed, crying.

While pagbaba the popular teen book Twilight, I couldn't help but notice some rather disturbing problems, and some facts that just don't add up.

For starters, Twilight is anti feminist. How can it be anti-feminist? you might ask. Well here's how, Bella is always staying at tahanan tending to either her father, her boyfriend, or her boyfriends family. Meyer cleverly disguises this sa pamamagitan ng saying "oh well Charlie can't cook" and "there's nothing better to do"....

There was once a young girl called, at least on Fanpop, GemonkDruid. One day, she picked up this interesting book at the library. "Ooh," she said. "It's about 400 pages long, and has an interesting cover. Must be a good read then."
