Can prefects take points?

Prefects can take points. I think Ron sinabi prefects can't take points from /other prefects/ in the fifth book. They're perfectly entitled to dock points from any other students.

Prefects can take points from other houses,what Ron meant was you are not aloud to take points from other prefects.Hope that clears things. Harry Potter rocks!!!

prefects can not take points. there was only one way a student could take points and that was in the fifth book when umbrige gave the power to her tuktok students

Prefects can not take points.. Percy only sinabi that to scare ron, plus if you hadn't noticed that whenever someone actually takes points they say five points from slitherin or something like that

may be the head boy or head prefect can dock points and maybe percy was one or maybe he sinabi it to scare ron as he was his brother or something...

actually, prefects cannot take points. when malfloy became prefect, he mentioned that he wished he could take a few hundred points from gryphendor(sp?). the only time that students besides head boy/girl could take/give points was when umbridge made the inquisitorial squad. as for percy, he didn't take away points, he was probably just threatening to, because ron wouldn't have known that he couldn't do it. or maybe he was just messing with his brother, although, percy doesn't seem to be the type who would "mess around" persay.

In the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th book no but until Dolores Umbridge came yes!

Aaaah the eternal enigma, I think JKR made a mistake when Pagsulat them, or didn't expect us to notice. The way I think of it is that the rules changed between book 2 and book 5

I think what Ron meant was that you can't take points off other prfects cauz when he mentions it, he was in a fight with Malfoy... i'm not 100% sure though...

I suppose u r mistaken there. Prefects can take off points(especially puffed-up prefects like Percy or gits like Malfoy would pag-ibig to take off points) In part5, Ron reminds Malfoy that prefects can't take off points from other prefects.Fair enough,isn't it?

Of course prefects can take points off for their own house only,not for the other house and their fellows prefects,and they should have atleast acceptable reasons for taking off points.

In the gamecube games they can. So I think they can but I think there's certain rules for it, I'm not too sure.

maybe it's just that (sorry ron) ron isn't the smartest...
