Chase ran in right away since Ameobic Meningitis was only contracted sa pamamagitan ng water, and helped Mike up and onto the bed. Nurses rushed past House to help as he stood there looking at Mike.

He was elated that Rachel would get better, but he wanted to be the one to save her. Not the bastard that broke her heart. He shook his head and looked around the halls and then turned to head back into his office. The team had heard the news and had already left, leaving the office dark and empty. House continued into his office to the ottoman, laid down, and instantly was knocked out from exhaustion.

FEW DAYS LATER

Michael was laying unconscious in his hospital kama in a 2 person room. Rachel was in the susunod kama and was slowly waking up. Mike had been hit the hardest with the disease since he was sick after being left in the rain after being beat up and that had lowered his body's defense.

Rachel stirred and slowly opened her eyes, to quickly shut them again. The light was unwelcomed throught the open blinds. She groaned and tried to open them again, adjusting her eyes to the light. She slowly moved her hands up and down and wiggled her toes.

What had happened? Why was she in a hospital bed?

She lifted her hand up to her head and felt gauze wrapped around her forehead where the blood was drained.

She looked to her right and saw Mike in the susunod bed, but he wasn't awake.

What happened?

She pressed the nurse button sa pamamagitan ng her side, and Chase walked in once again. This time elated that she was finally awake.

" uy Rachel! How are you feeling?" He asked as he took out the pen light and checked her responses.

She waved his arm away and pointed to her throat for some water. Chase quickly poured out some water and handed it to her.

" I'm fine. What happened?" She sinabi in a raspy voice after she drank the water.

" What's the last thing you remember?" Chase sinabi carefully, worried that she might have Amnesia.

" Collasping in the OR obsevatory room. House was there." She said, remembering the darkness comsume her and hearing House's voice.

But wait. Mike was in surgery.

" Is Mike okay?" She sinabi worriedly.

Chase looked down for a segundo and then looked at his hands that were on the kama rail.

" We're not sure at the moment. He was awake, but really ill after you fell. You two were sick with the same thing, but we couldn't figure it out. Mike requested a laptop wanting to help." Chase paused and smiled. " He actually was the one who found out what you had. Amoebic Meningitis."

Rachel looked down and jogged through her memory to remember what that is.

" We were swimming before he got hurt. That must've been how." She sinabi after remembering.
" But how come i'm awake, but he's not?" She asked worriedly.

" When he found out what was wrong he stood up, which he shouldn't have, to get my attention. He blacked out after telling us and hit his head on the floor. He got a concussion. Right now, we're not sure if he is going to wake up okay." Chase sinabi somberly.

Rachel looked over at Michael and saw the bandage wrapped around his head and the casts on his arm and all the bruises and sweat covering his body.

" Oh my god." Rachel whispered, looking over to Chase, who returned her look of worriedness.
